Or else they would've taken him out right at the merge. That's the thing about golden boy alpha males, either people immidiately rally to get rid of them or they happily hand them over the million dollars.

The contestants voted Brendan out for roughly the same reasons they gave JT the money. I think Coach did have a shot to win, he would have had Debbie and Tyson voting for him and he could have gotten Stephen and Taj voting against JT JT would had to have done something REALLY fucked up and stupid to get Taj and Stephen to vote for Ben, of all people, over him.
