Remove this ad To be quite honest American Idol sucks donkey balls in comparison to essentially every other foreign Idol show I've seen bits and pieces of. It has the money and the glitz and the glamour but it doesn't have the talent or the heart of other competitions. I watch it for entertainment value but I find a lot more talented people whose voices I love on other shows. AI has opened up significantly since it started but it still isn't as open to unique and wonderful talents as other shows. This past season also sucked harder than any American season before it. We have an Australian Idol reminiscing thread but I know a few people follow/have followed other international Idol shows in the past and adore contestants from them. Taking that into consideration I thought we needed a thread to discuss/love/hate/share videos of our favourite international Idol contestants. Discussion of Canadian/Australian contestants is welcome but I would love to hear about the many other foreign shows. I know most popular on this board are Norwegian Idol and some of the African Idol shows. I'll post in a bit, I love so many foreigners I can't decide who to discuss first. Remove this ad Pinoy Idol sucked balls, it was a crappy relaunch by station who stole the rights from the original station that aired the first one. It sucked big time, the production values was laughable and the whole show looked really cheap, the cast was a bunch of wannabe's who had no talent, and it didn't help that the sound system blew chunks and the band made every song sound like something out of a cheesy musical. Even the judges sucked, 1 was trying too hard to be Simon Cowell and looked obviously fake doing it, the other was a has been actress who had little to do with the music industry.

He's so underrated here, people seem to think that he's a failure because he doesn't gain as much commercial success as one would expect from an Idol. But he's doing his own jazzy/soul/pop type of thing and he's damn good at it. :) It's not exactly the type of music that I would listen to over and over again but his voice is just so sexy. And I preferred Nikki too, her 'Climb Every Mountain' was beautiful. I just thought the total fierceness of CrazyNathalie would be more interesting for some people here to see. I was sharing some AI mp3s with a Dutch girl and she was like hey do you want to check out our Idol winner and I was like okay sure and it just spiraled from there. All of his performance videos used to be up on his official website and I'd watch them all over and over. I love this one... I love Boris' music that I've heard on his Myspace, it's a shame he's not having more success. He's so talented and beautiful. Cheezy I'm assuming you're from the Netherlands?
