I know that Porkchop is starting to grow on me lately because of his sweet, self-effacing twitter posts, support for Jordin in his posts, and mabye because Cookie is doing well and Archie didn't win and steal that from Cookie.

And I give Sanjaya props for being a good sport for charity by doing that retarded but obviously very painful reality show.

I don't see myself softening anytime in the near future about Gokey or Taylor, however.

And oddly, I sorta used to root for Clay (though I voted for Locke back in the day) and thought he had a nice voice . . . . but I lost all respect for him after his season and have come to hate the pissy little bitch.

But I do think at least my perceptions of the various Idols change somewhat after their season.

i never minded porkchop too much, it was his daddy dearest that i loathed.

i never minded sanjaya either. the judges only put him through so that he could be an early elimination, but he fought back by making himself interesting with his hairstyle of the week and his affiliation with howard stern and vote for the worst.

taylor had a likeable personality, something gokey did not.

i liked clay while he was on the show, but all the diva antics afterwards (him screwing over the high school at christmas time, the kelly ripa incident, the airplane incident, etc.) made me realize he what a dick and asshole he was in real life...

so, yeah, my perceptions on the idol contestants do change a little, but mostly i just forget about them as a new season starts up and there are new people to follow...
