Operation Smile is about the kids ... not that someone wanted to get on your good side and asked you to be in a fashion show and you turned them down. Funny how the Operation Smile director was all like "we need to focus on them not you" ... Cole is a loser! Taylor is bi-polar! "yeah wayyy cool to go to PC's party" "um, wait, I can't go" ... "I had a big fight with my Mom even though we never fight ... it just so happened to be right before PC's party" ... "Cole fighting with PC was not cool - then again I never told him about the party because he is my boyfriend and I have no obligations to him whatsoever yet I let him find out the hard way... let's go out and break up again because its what I do" Out of all the places in New York City they all have to go to the same place ... yet they all hate eachother. Camille making fun of Kelli because she doesn't know what college to go to ... not everyone pursues a college career. Kelli may be the youngest but by far the least catty. Even though the Harvard lady was condescendingly bitchy her question wasn't entirely out of nowhere. The girls were on a college tour. It's only natural to ask what schools they were considering. The fact that Kelli couldn't even muster up an answer means she better not even consider any of the top 25, and there's nothing wrong with that. But the Harvard lady was right- none of those bitches will probably get in. They need to hear the honest truth at some point.

You then base your applications on that. When I toured colleges, I wouldn't have been able to answer that question (I would have politely said that I'm touring schools to narrow down my choices). I got into all eight of the schools to which I applied, including Yale. I didn't apply to Harvard because there were too many c.unty people like that woman there... And unless she's studied their transcripts, she had no right to say they probably wouldn't get in. For all she knows, they could have been the most desirable candidates Harvard could ask for. No, she said it for no other reason than to be a smug asshole!

She never said she was pursuing college and was only there to support Camille - who is not a very good friend to Kelli at all. Camille doesn't know anything else but how to scout colleges and try to be one up on everyone. The Harvard lady was right to say Camille was trying too hard to impress her. I agree - Kat should have been part of the cast. Everything she said was on target. Jesse's FIT flag hanging in her room was like taking a Budweiser label and sticking it to the wall. And alumni don't normally give tours, undergrads do- so that little pre-tour was staged. The real tour was given by the guy. Also touring colleges you have no interest in smacks of lack of focus, especially when you're in your junior year. Quite honestly, it's a waste of your time to visit a college you're not even remotely interested in applying. And every college has its set of c.unty people. But the fact is that if you plan on applying to Harvard or school of that ilk you can't just wing it in your Junior or Senior year. It's perfectly fine if you don't apply or go to an Ivy League school, but most of the time it seems that some people have a chip on their shoulder about it. That you, personally, liked your college education is all that matters, no need to paint every Ivy Leaguer with the same brush. Nice people do go to Harvard.

I think she picked up on the naivity in the beginning. Its Harvard ... its not the Hollywood strip. They were looking around ooohing and ahhhing ... it takes work ... the male guide's friend "why would you want to go here" and the response "its Harvard!" was an example. Based on other research, you narrow your list down from every-college-in-the-world to a smaller list of schools in which you're interested enough to visit. Based on the VISITS, you determine to which ones you will apply. If you already know you intend to apply, why bother visiting? That is the real waste of time...

Why would it be a waste of time to visit a college you intend to apply? Obviously, you would try to visit each college you intend to apply to because then you would know which one you like better. Come acceptance time you'd make an actual fully informed decision about the college you choose to attend.

If you go on college tours people do ask what other schools you are considering. It's not like that question is out of left field. And I'm unsure as to whether Kelli is a Junior or a Sophomore. If she's a Junior then she should have some idea of what college she'd considering, but that's if she's serious about going to college at all.

She wasn't even focusing on college - she was focusing on her singing career. I said the question wasn't out of left field ... I didn't like Camille's response "oh she's not even taking this serious" ... Kelli wasn't there for herself. She is a sophomore I believe. I think I'm the only one that didn't find the scout smug ... she was putting them in their much needed place. Even when they said "we're from New York" the guide's friend said "and I'm from New York" as if what's the big deal? ... no Operation Smile on her resume ... no Harvard.

PC and my brother could be twins, both in looks and in a lot of mannerisms and especially in douchiness. I think Jessie is a bitter hag who is obviously obsessed with PC and won't admit it, but I can totally understand her lectures with PC about the scum users he hangs out with. I've been there trying to get my brother to wise up and quit hanging with assholes he chooses to not only hang out with, but pay for when they are out clubbing and drugging it up. Everything is designer this, designer that, money, money, money. I wish my brother was gay, because maybe he could meet a nice guy and settle down, rather than the strippers and club whores he chooses to date and even marry one for a whopping 6 months with lavish destination wedding only for her to file for divorce and wanting a huge settlement and spousal support. And he isn't even 30 yet!!! Stupid douchebag. The similarities are endless between PC and my brother. At least PC has a therapist already at only 18 and I hope she can help set him straight before he ends up like my brother . . . the person who said PC was a Madoff in the making is probably right. I am waiting for my brother to be indicted relating to the mortgage crisis & scams. My last check of the dockets around here and he already has 5 state civil suits and 1 federal suit against him. It freaks me out how much they look & act alike. As to the rest of the cast, they are all annoying self-centered twits, but seeing as they are teenagers and teenagers from wealthy families whose parents are probably total assholes, I am not surprised. They are somewhat entertaining to watch as they pretend they are grownups and wise and worldly well beyond their years. LOL. Sebastian is the worst. His parents must be so proud ^__^ (sad this is, they probably are). LOL

If you visit at a time that you know you're going to apply but you don't know if you're going to get in, the visit does you no good at that time (PERHAPS down the road, but only if you get in).
