It's not just summer. Summer brings 10-15 cent jumps. This is speculation along with a nice devaluation of our dollar.
Obama loves it. He's said on the campaign trail, he wants high gas prices to force Amercans to be more energy efficient. Way to stick it to America during a recession, dude! |

oil companies have kinda lost control of the cost of gasoline - they have to charge a certain amount over the cost of buying the oil and turning it into
gasoline and the price of oil is up to around $70 a barrel again - and the price of oil, as OPEC has found out lately much to their dismay, is controlled more
by speculators than by the oil companies
