Bigwigs want to shock viewers who think they know what to expect. The plan is for a ruthless bitch-fest that will keep Big Brother on top. The Sun has already revealed BB7 is the biggest series so far, with 18 contestants sharing two bedrooms. Viewers will still decide who is evicted in the series due to be hosted by Davina McCall starting on May 18.

Now it seems there will probably be only two nominees each week, which is a shame because past seasons of BBUK have always had memorable nominations. Usually at least one surprising name popped up in the early rounds of nominations (especially last season) and caused dissention in the house.

At least they still keep public voting, daily episodes, live-crowd evictions and what not. The only thing that should be bothering is that they're throwing out a fundamental BB rule by now being able to discuss nominations. Funny, just today (before reading the news), I was thinking BB International should use some BB USA concepts as a twist/theme for one series.

It doesn't try and hold up any kind of stupid idea about being a meritocracy or an actual contest of skill or whatever. The show's message is blatantly "We're going to put these freakshows into this house for 3 months and fuck with their minds however the hell we want, fairness be damned, and we might as well just pick the winner out of a hat given how unreliable and random the system we have right now is, but who cares?" I would kind of like to try the HoH idea over here for at least a season, as long as the public still makes the final decision. Not that I ever call/text in to vote, but still. Don't want the HGs to feel like they're running the show. Oh, and is it really starting that soon?? Yay!!! Can't wait to see you again, Davina! She's going to be pregnant throughout the season this time. Her baby is due in September.
