Here is what happened: back in the mid 90's SNL was so resoundingly unfunny that people were searching for something....ANYTHING that would make the show
bearable to watch.
In this climate of drastically lowered standards, Will's act became "funny". Not really funny, but funny compared to the absolute dreck the rest of the show had become. America compromised and must now live with the consequences of its mistake. |
