Iranian Protests Put on Hold for Further Perez Hilton Updates
CNN (June 22, 2009) Cable news network CNN has confirmed through recent Twitter updates from Iranian protesters that all current and future protests planned within Tehran and across Iran will be put on hold until word is received on the health and well-being of Perez Hilton who was savagely beaten by a rogue musical thug in Canada. Protesters have taken up the image of a badly bruised Perez Hilton on posters and fliers spread throughout Iran this afternoon. When asked about the situation, Mir Hossein Moussavi commented that it was a "travesty of the highest order" and is demanding a formal apology be issued by Will-i-am, the guilty party. Until this apology is issued all protests in Iran and Twitter updates will be focused on the abnormally large-headed pervert brethren and his search for justice. |

Remember NEDA.
Neda was the beautiful young woman who was in the fight and lost her life. I hope the protestors/freedom fighters/reformers, however you want to call them, succeed. They need support from all of us, they need money, they need weapons. It's a delicate situation because the USA and the UK are already being accused of inciting the riots and we didn't do anything, but since we are already being accused, we might as well get involved in a grassroots, quiet way. Women have been oppressed and abused by their rigid religion and don't want to take it anymore. That's what education will do for ya. Believe in this revolution people, it's real. It will mean unreal changes to the Middle Eastern Countries. |

It's comforting to know that earlier reports of "over 100% turnout" in "80 to 170" cities were exaggerated.
The actual number, according to the Guardian Council, was 50 cities. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/23/world/middleeast/23iran.html?_r=1 |

I love how we all get particularly outraged when the victim is beautiful.
