Yes, I hitchhiked often while I was in High School in the mid 1970s, I was 14-16 or so. Pretty scary to think of now. The last couple of time that I picked up
hitchhikers they were prostitutes, it took me 3 times to finally figure out the only females hitchhiking in Las Vegas are whores.

When I drove a truck I would and make them sit in back.
On summer I hitchhiked back and forth between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, that was stupid but I was young. |

Once when my mom and I got in to a fight. A guy gave me a ride to my boyfriends. He was really nice.... I was lucky.

All the time in high school and college. The last time the guy driving grabbed my leg (he was stopped at a light). I jumped out of the car.

Nope, never. Unless you count commuter rides/carpool, which I haven't done in several years..........they're common, but really pretty dangerous.

Yup, used to all the time. Once was a guy in a suit next to his convertible in Westerville. I was heading to a job interview at the Anhieser Busch plant. He
was headed there too, and ended up being the boss of the guy I was interviewing with. I got the job.

when we were teenagers we used to hitchhike on harlem avenue (home from roller disco) all the time. we only got in the car if there were teenage boys. with
beer.

I haven't but a couple of mine did. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were two hitchhiking nuns. He had to drop them off before their services though.

I recently almost picked up a hitch hiker in San Luis Obispo when I was headed back to L.A. He was totally hot but he also looked like he had the potential to
be smelly and I didn't want to have to hold my breath for 4 hours.

We used to hitchhike from Edmonton to Penticton every summer when I first got out of high school. It used to be safer then though.
