Real Player has a $29.99 Season Pass ENDS WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!! |
Lead | |
|
If you want to save money on your BB addiction, you can get a 3 month season pass for $29.99 and it includes 3 free days up front. Assuming Julie is
downloading ChenBot Jr in October, I am not sure how far into September they are taking this season. Ordering today takes you almost up to the 3rd Sunday in
September (not quite). If you order through www.bbreloader.com, you can save the $7.95 on the BB11 reloader. Go to
their site, click on the realplayer link and the special price at real.com will come up.

Use code BB11QTEARLY in the coupon code area as you order your feeds.

DUPE THREAD.
Ban.Lock.Delete. Seriously, do we need ANOTHER thread that contains this exact information? It is already provided by SI in Blistering's thread. |

Good thing Blistering didn't start this exact thread a few weeks ago.

How long is this deal good for? I always get Reloader. <3!
It just seems too early to be getting the Superpass. |

Be careful with that deal though. It's kind of a trick unless you don't care to see the last days of feeds. It is a limited time and Real is very
good at squeezing money out of people.
It will auto-renew every 3 months. If you subscribe early and the 3 months is up before the finale and you want feeds until the end, it will cost more than if you go monthly. If you get the 3 month deal and don't cancel after 3 months so you can see the whole season: 3 month pass: 29.99 3 month renewal: 29.99 --------------------------- 59.98 If you go through the ordeal of contacting real and changing to a monthly plan at the end: 3 month pass: 29.99 1 month: 14.99 ---------------------- 44.98 If you wait to get it until the last minute so that the 3 months covers the whole season and the 3 month deal is gone: 3 months x $14.99 : 44.97 Funny how close those numbers are. It's actually cheapest to wait until the season starts and get the regular $34.99 3-month pass if you want to see the most feeds for your money. Assuming the BB special isn't still available when the season starts. |

I always just signed up for a 2 week trial, called to cancel it--they offer you two more weeks free. Then, if still interested, I buy a month or two if
necessary.

Actually I started this thread to get the thread title out there that the reduced price season pass is available right now for a limited time. This is the
"sweet spot" time. I don't think the season is going to last much past 9/18 or whatever that sunday is. Also, real player has
"re-aired" the season after it is over, so if there are good feeds in the first month, re-upping on a monthly basis in September might not be a waste
of money. Who knows. We could possibly be sick of this cast by then, too.

I always order through Reloader, use the early bird code & get 3 months for $29.99. If I order as late as a few days before the show starts it's enough
to carry me through till the end. But you DO have to call & cancel when BB is over or they will automatically charge you for another 3 months. You must
call.
But I've never had a problem with Real. They are quite nice if you can understand their English. |

I didn't call last time. I used that 'change country' trick and closed it online
I am guessing that still works as they dont use CS for some countries |

I never call and I think it's ridiculous that they try to make you talk to them on the phone.
I just use their billing support web form and tell them I am cancelling my account, revoking their permission to bill my card further and if they do I will dispute the charge with my bank. I always get a reply the next day confirming my account has been cancelled. |

I was wondering about the Reloader too Lola.
I also wonder if you'll have to download a newer version of Real to get the extra screens. I refused to use version 11 since it screwed up so much & am afraid to download another newer one. I guess we'll have to wait & see on that. |

Good point Fluffy. I had the same issues.
I am back and forth about even ordering them this year...another summer, sleep deprived? I dunno. |

I just got a new computer a couple of months ago, so I do have the latest Real player loaded here. Let's hope it works better this summer. They had a year
to get out the bugs.

LOLABINGO wrote:Well, I would say that the #1 good reason would be that, if you order your Super Pass through the BBReloader link, it's free. So I don't know why you wouldn't get it, just so you have the option available. And it looks like, even though the RealPlayer shows all four feeds along the bottom, you would still have to click on one of them to switch to that feed, which means that you have to wait for it to load. When I use the Reloader, I keep all four feeds open, resized at the top of my screen, with the sound muted on all but the one I'm actively watching, so I don't have to wait if there's suddenly something interesting on a specific feed. I can just un-mute the sound. (Now, Fluffy, if you're still on dialup, having all four feeds open might not be a viable option for you.) Speaking of muting, I understand that the Reloader has a "one touch" mute button this season. That's a nice improvement. |
