He's spending a lot of time with Maci & Ryan, wtf. I blinked and Farrah was off the screen.

Are they seriously going to spring the adoptive parents on those kids?

They must have agreed to it.
I'm shocked that the adoptive parents agreed to it. They're still well within the time period that they can change their mind I think. |

Apparently is was a "surprise" for the audience, but they were aware of it.
Still emotional! |

I wanted more Farrah time..oh well. It was alright, I think they could of had a better host though.

All the interview segments were surprisingly short, but then, MTV has been the king of the 10-minute commercial break for over a decade now.
I got vibes that Dr. Drew was a bit warm for Maci. |

I think it was a harder set of interviews because of the situation and the message. They couldn't just let it turn into a huge mess and they needed to make
sure that the right message went through to their viewers. I think this show is better sex ed than most everything out there and I loved that they talked about
the need for condoms instead of how horrid sex is on the reunion. I was glad to see that most of the girls had tried to breastfeed at some point, a week is
better than nothing.
Was I the only one that was pissed off at that last set of parents (and they were my most hated during the show). The ones with the kid with the medical condition. First, the kid has a medical condition effecting his lungs and the father still smokes, WTF is that? Selfish ass. Second when talking about the medical condition the thing they were most sad about was that their kid wasn't going to be able to party or drink or smoke when he gets older. Because that's far worse than him not being able to play sports. I hate those two, the poor kid. |

I forgot it was on!!! I did see the end. I will say about breastfeeding and the excuses the girls gave... yeah it hurts but your body adjusts. I did it for 2
months with my first and then 13 months with my second. None of them tried more than two weeks and Dr. Drew was really easy on them for that, not that they
need to be attacked, but it was weird.

Eeh, that's a lot for kids that young.
But not breastfeeding is going to make the "hard breasts" and hurt that they were talking about and it's not like any of them had the support to continue when they already thought it was creepy. |

I know they were young, but if someone would have talked to them... the hardness was them producing milk they needed to express. And the first week they are
really engorged but it goes away- I wish someone would have talked to them about it though.

Agreed, at least one of them probably would have continued longer if they'd had someone around to help and support. They weren't talking about nipple
pain, but engorgement which you're going to get weather you breastfeed or not.

And one was complaining of leaking... that goes away too, it is just at the beginning. Nursing is a great way to bond with the baby - plus it is free! :)

And much easier than bottle feeding. Bottles have to be made and washed and formula is expensive. I can't imagine having do deal with all that work. Much
easier to just sit on your ass and breastfeed, and the poop isn't as stinky

I breastfed- no formula at all for my little one and am so glad I did. Unfortunately breast feeding is still viewed as being "icky" by so many of my
friends- women in their 30's for goodness sake! If they can't separate fact from fiction then I am not surprised that 16 year old girls couldn't
either. There are so many benefits to doing it and if you are having any problems there are groups like La Leche or Lactation Consultants who can talk you
through them. But when you have people tell you that they could never breastfeed because they stuff their kids bottles with rice cereal & formula at 3
weeks to "fill them up and sleep the night" then you just want to smack their head into a building.

OMG did I cry my eyes out last night! I have such huge admiration for Catelynn and Tyler. What amazing kids, considering their (her?) upbringing.
Farrah is an enigma. She and her mom are so emotionally flat. Maybe still waters run deep, but I can't tell with these two. I found myself kind of talking to the TV when the girls were complaining that breastfeeding hurt. Yes, it does hurt, for about 2-3 weeks. Beyond that, you need help, because it is not supposed to continue hurting. So it bummed me out that the girls weren't given the support to get over that brief threshold and develop a longer term breastfeeding plan. It saves money, is good for the environment (no products to buy, unless you need a pump, which eventually pays for itself) and is so healthy for the baby. But, I suppose something is better than nothing. |

You'd think a hospital would be even more inclined to give a teenaged mom a good lactation consultant...they need even more support and guidance. I'm always appalled when the baby mamas on Maury bitch about money for formula. Doesn't anyone try to breastfeed any more? Your body is designed for it...and therefore it's free! |

Breasfeeding is much easier when you don't have to leave your baby to go to work or school. I pumped a bit but can not imagine pumping full time. Maci
couldn't have breastfed, her mother had the baby 16 hours a day.

I do work full time and had to pump for both babies. To compensate, we co-slept and they nursed on demand. Pumping is a total drag, but very worth it, IMHO.
Plus, it helps if you're a CONTROL FREAK and must know the origin of every drop of nourishment your baby receives. Not that I would know anything about
that.
