I'm pleasantly surprised to see them bringing back the compilations, assuming this isn't just somebody's joke. I have all the previous ones (and yes, I still actually BUY CDs). But this one certainly tempts me to not bother. Alexis got screwed AGAIN. Amazing.

Leaving aside the exclusion of 3 decent (albeit unlucky) finalists, this compilation is screwed from the get go because so many people in the top 10 this year NEVER had a single good performance (Danny, Scott, Megan, Michael). The song choices for Adam, Allison & Matt are reasonable. Lil would be better off with Heat Wave, Kris with Ain't No Sunshine. And Scott's song from top 9 night (title currently forgotten) was the closest he got to a decent performance. And since I guess she HAS to be there, having Megan doing Rockin' Robin instead of the sludge they picked might have been a hoot, since it was the best trainwreck of the whole dismal season (I regard Norman as more sickening than funny). But really, the only way to do a good "12 best" compilation from this season would be to have Allison doing about half the songs and leaving out a few other people completely.
