Finally managed to watch the finale and it seemed a little rushed to me.
I'm glad that Dave won, but it was quite obvious since the beginning because of all the positivity dumped onto him, never really showing any negative stuff. Really, Dave's only doubt seemed to be that injury. I found it odd that they hyped Tenille as this underdog fan favourite type contestant, yet she didn't come back for the final service. And I thought Andy was going to be the token screwup brought back for the final service that no one would want on their team. I guess Amanda took over, but she was picked 4th overall, which was kinda surprising. Dave's choices of Ariel, Robert and Suzanne were smart since he went on ability and not personal reasons. Choosing to serve venison for the final challenge, along with keeping his final menu simple were also brilliant. I guess after Danny's mounted fish last season, they didn't trust the contestants' designing abilities anymore? Overall, a pretty strong season, with a really strong start and finish. I kinda wish Heather got more screentime though. They seemed to avoid showing her face a lot for some reason. Oh and is Dave the first winner to not ever be nominated since Heather? |

I was surprised they didn't have to design their own restaurants, too, but it really isn't about that anyway. Was fine with Dave winning.

I read "in a magazine" today that Dave and his fiancee have split. That will help make finding housing in Whistler a lot easier.
