Spillman does realize that when they recruit mactors from some club or bar there is no way of telling whether they are too nice or too mean, or whatever.
She's just getting the prettiest people she can find and hope that at least one or two of them are snarky, bitchy and mean to others.

The editing is terrible. That and the casting focus too much on tedious one-dimensional "stars" who do and say the same thing every week and have
everything revolve around that one note.
Even if this cast is playing to win, we won't know, because it's only about Shambo and Russel H. The rest are irrelevant. |

BB10 had a pretty good cast. BB11 wasn't bad either.
Survivor is basically 2 caricatures, a few under fives, and a lot of extras. |

 Poor Editors getting trashed in this thread.
The Editors of a Reality Show don't have even a fraction as much control of the final product as the Producers,Casting Directors or Storyboard Writers. The only creative decision they may have that has an influence on the show is how the shot is framed in the 2-3 seconds when Survivor is cutting back after ending a Commercial break. |

I blame Spillman before editing. If she cast better people, editing would be able to show more of each castaway without the show losing its entertainment
value.
