Has anyone been skydiving? |

My sister wants me to go with her and her boyfriend. Is it as scary as it looks?

In the Oscar nominated film "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie", they skydive in the very beginning and it's all kinds of awesome. One
Halloween I was the yellow ranger because my dad refused to get me pink because he's a jerk. No one wants to be the yellow ranger because it's the
designated minority chick ranger, and that's gay. I blame my short supply of candy wins on not getting to wear pink because my neighbors are racist.

It's cool, but just have faith in the equipment, say a prayer and fall. Do the static cord if you're solo, if you're doing a tandem with a pro, then enjoy the ride. ...or do this: |

Before skydive: "I don't know about this..."
After skydive: "DO IT AGAIN!!!" |

I honestly think I would faint. Which would be kinda disastrous since I wouldn't be able to open the parachute in that case.

I did the 10,000ft tandem jump first, then it was just an addiction afterwards. I remember being terrified when I was hanging out the door, just looking down
(you could kind of see the curve of the earth from up there) but the free fall was fucking amazing. I've done 5 solo jumps since. Would love to do the 10k
solo.

I don't know how the rules are everywhere, but my first two jumps had to be tandem. The first time you go a little higher. The higher, the easier. Your
mind has more trouble registering how high up you are if you can't make out objects on the ground.
It was definitely more to it when I bungee jumped from 250 feet than my first jump out of a Twin Otter. |
