When I was younger, I would beat all the other robot master before him and then when he was the only one left, I would just shut the game off because I knew I wouldn't even get to him. Which is why he ranks number 1. MM2 was arguably the most epic MegaMan game and he was the most feared of that bunch. |

MM2 is overrated... but still a great game. With the exception of Quick Man's stage, it's by far the easiest Mega Man game... even including Quick
Man's stage, it's the easiest.
MM3 > MM4 > MM2 > MM7 > MM5 = MM1 = MM9 > MM8 > MM6 |

MM2 has a lot of nostalgia attached to it for me, but MM3 is definitely by far the best of the Mega Man series.
I really need to go back and play them all some how, I havent played a video game in years and now I'm really dying to play some Mega Man. |

I agree with you guys that MM2 is a bit overrated and MM3 is the best one. But MM2 is really the one that became the blueprint for the entire series. MM1 was a
work in progress. MM3 perfectionnized (is that a word?) MM2 by fixing everything that was wrong with it. (Slide, canine companion, harder bosses etc.) The Doc
Robot idea was the most creative twist of the entire series, it also gave the otherwise too easy MM2 robot masters a well deserved second chance. The other
games were good too just way too repetitive and the double fortress thingy was really irritating. We KNOW it's Wily! Do we really need to beat an entire
fortress knowing that it'll end up being pointless?
However, MM2 will always have the best bunch of robot masters IMO. It's the only game that didn't have any stinkers. |
