Matt was a douche to the max. I'm from Boston and even I couldn't stand him. Remember when he jumped into bed with Sharon out of nowhere and then, without saying a word, started making out with her. (Please tell me that was scripted.) The only time I enjoyed watching him was when he sulked and pouted his way out the door after convincing himself Ryan was going. This after lying to Ryan that he wouldn't campaign against him (and then going behind his back all of five seconds later and doing exactly that) and then blatantly throwing the POV competition so he wouldn't have to save Ryan. lulz. What a dumb masshole.
