Actually, the SEG letter to Hatch, which is here (thanks, tullfan2)...
http://static.mgnetwork.com/jar/hatch_letter.pdf ...states "on or about August 1" and "on or about September 20". Since the timeframe listed is 51 days and not 39, I'm guessing that "or about" may be somewhat important. FWIW, I think the start date is about right (I guessed August 2, could go a couple of days in either direction), because that would put the final TC eight days before the S19 premiere on September 17th. This would allow Probst to get back to the U.S. and talk to the press, appear on various talk shows, and generally pump up the one show that CBS has premiering that week. |

Not sure anyone actually cares about this, but: Upon further review, the crew really do get two weeks off between shows, and the start date for filming S20 is
probably around August 7th/8th, possibly even the 9th. Note that starting on the last two dates would cause everyone to miss or be travelling on the day of the
S19 premiere, so the 7th may be the best fit. And it looks like Probst will be doing all his S19 press stops via phone. So if you have a rock-solid final S20
cast list burning a hole in your inbox, maybe it would be best to wait until the 9th or 10th to post it.

It could be 39 days, filming date could be start on August 8th, the anniversary of Russia-Georgia war and Beijing Olympics. It will be end by mid-September,
few days before S19 premieres.

I did hear that they fly out the 3rd of august but that's about it as far as S20 conversation since my last post. I know that there is about 5 days from when a cast arrives to when they actual start filming on most seasons including mine. |

They aint gonna change the cast list because we figured it out, that's retarded. Also, they get 2 weeks off, but I would think during that time they arent drinking mimosas on the beach, they're probably prepping the sets for the new season and changing everything over from the previous one. That's not a lot of time to get everything ready for the new season.Actually, some of the crew went home during the two week break - even Jeff did, I believe - and they'll be going back to Samoa next week. Some crew obviously stayed the whole time, but they'll still have a few days when they get back with full crew before they start shooting again so it's a bit longer than two weeks between the two seasons. I don't know why they all didn't just stay. That probably would have saved more on the budget instead of adding extra plane tickets. |
