Top 3

To answer a question asked earlier it looks like voting is open until Friday at midnight so presumably it will be the same as any other results and we won't find out who is Top 2 until Sunday on the F2 performance show. Honestly that would suck more so than any other week to prepare your song choices as if you were in the finale and competing for the title and then end up not being in the F2.

The theme for Top 3 was Power Anthems with Pete Wentz as guest mentor and "We Built This City" sung by the Top 4 to kick off the show.

James safe first, slightly unfair to the other 3 considering he should have went last week but whatever, I like him. Fat Squirrel safe next, slightly unfair to the other 2 considering he sucks.

Hayley AND Nathan in the bottom 2 hate. I'm glad Hayley's safe though, although I wish miss Nathan in this episode. I always liked his performances.

James' "Hold The Line," umm wtf as this choice for Power Anthems? Of all the great songs you could choose for this theme that are just epic he chooses this shit? This was cheesy as hell and totally not entertaining. James' talent is wasted on a song like this. He could have started off the show in a big way and had a moment but instead we got this medicore performance. He sounded pretty good but I just didn't dig it at all. 4/10

Hayley choosing "One" love, now this is a power anthem. I'm not sold on the arrangement but I think she sounded quite good. As a power anthem she could have hit a lot harder but I think compared to Bono no one is going to do justice to a song like this, or even close. Overall though I thought she did a good job, not amazing, but very good. 7.5/10 Extra points for saying "U2 is one of my favourite bands." Anyone who likes U2 wins.

Stan in the pimp spot mild hate but at least it seems the pimp spot doesn't even matter than much on OzI, they open voting before the performances now anyway. Picking "Eye of the Tiger" lol, he's so ridiculous. The last person to sing "Eye of the Tiger" on OzI came 3rd so let's home Stan suffers the same fate as Lee. That said the fat squirrel in his hideous get up actually sounded pretty good. I didn't hate the performance but I knew I'd become irate in a matter of 2 minutes when Marcia started to lavishly overpraise it. 7/10

Hayley wins Round 1 but just a bit.

James' "More Than Words" Good choice for him to sit behind his guitar, but again I'm not sure how this choice fits with the idea of power anthems and 2 hours of power. He's completely off the mark in terms of the theme. As for the actual performance the song suits his voice well and he did a great job. He actually had a an emotional connection to this song and sang it really well. I liked it a lot actually, one of my favourite performances from James. 8/10

Oh cruelty, they've already been rehearsing their winner's singles. That would fucking suck to have your single and rehearse it for weeks and then not even make the Top 2.

Hayley's "New Sensation," really cool choice. INXS is definitely a band I think of when I think power anthems. There's a reason Dicko thinks Hayley is such a cool contestant, she picks cool songs that people want to hear and that suit her voice. Picking bad songs that people don't care about is the downfall of many an Idol contestant. I think she sounded really good on this song and I enjoyed it. It was fun. 8/10

Dicko's comments are so hilarious. Telling someone they have grime in their voice? LOL.

Also is Pete Wentz retarded? His speaking and commenting was so awkward.

Stan picking "Its A Man's World," Stan's not so subtle hint that he wants an all male F2? Jk, jk. What is with the sleeveless vests? So hideous. I can already hearing Marcia squealing and fanning herself over this. That said I actually think Stan is working hard on his voice and really is bringing his all to try and make the F2. I don't want this fatty to win but at least he's trying and not giving us the inconsistent bullshit of weeks pasts. Great vocal. 8/10

Round 2 is a tie imo, they all did well.

James' last song, "Learn To Fly" is his best song choice of the night, at least imo. I think this might have been more effective without the electric guitar. This should have been an own the stage, connect with the audience performance and I think this is where Hayley and Stan excel and James falls down a bit. It was good but it had the potential to be great. I think with his 3 songs tonight he did decently but it won't be enough to secure a spot in the F2 and its clear that the judges agree. 6.5/10

Marcia hate, seriously she think she's so fucking great.

Rexona moment from Top 4 was Stan. Good job fat squirrel winning for singing a fucking Miley Suckrus song. I think Hayley should have won but clearly I'm biased.

Hayley's last performance of "Bittersweet Symphony" was a brave choice but I think that's what it takes to make it to the F2. That little bitch Matt Corby actually sang this really well so its one of those songs where someone has owned it and you really need to bring it even more. The outfit is really, really fucking ugly. Seriously who the fuck is the stylist for this show? The performance though was really, really good. I think she brought it all with this performance and will sail into the Top 2 with fatty next week. Really to me it just solidified why she should win this year's competition and I hope it did for the voters too. Great job, one of the best performances of the season. 10/10 Glad to see the judges appreciated it as much as me.

Stan got to close out the show with "Amazing Grace" and a final chance to pimp his sob story. This final pre-performance package for Stan should do wonders for him in the voting, the editors (and TPTB) obviously like him. Come on Hayley, you should have started crying about your half a femur one last time. Anyway I think this was a poor way for Stan to close the show. He sounded good but it was underwhelming but I hated the arrangement of the song. I think this could have been his moment and could have won him the show tonight if he sung the song straight up. I'm sure Marcia LOVED it though and he'll get a lot of praise for it and it will propel him to the Top 2 easily. 6.5/10

Round 3 goes to Hayley hands down, but I'm sure you're not shocked by that.

I think James was easily at the bottom of the group tonight and it really showed how far out of his league he is up against the ever confident and cool Hayley and the soulful, big voiced Stan. The fat squirrel and the rocker girl are the F2, its just a matter of who wins. I still have confidence that Hayley is going to win this thing. Even if you don't like Hayley do you really want the fat squirrel to win? Also come on if Stan wins we will be robbed of Marcia's reaction and will we have to see her cry and ramble on and on about how Stan is the second coming of Christ. Don't you want to see Marcia fall out of her chair and look like she got punched in the stomach?

That is a bad sign, considering we don't want the fat squirrel to win he should have been the worst of the night.

Really though you don't want to see Marcia's reaction to the fat squirrel losing? I mean I would have dealt with Toby beating Stan in the F2 if it meant we got to see Marcia have a mental breakdown.

I hate Matt but I will begrudgingly admit that his version is great. He had a lot of great performances but he was a bitter little bitch.

I like Hayley more, I like her style more and I like her version more personally.
