So S19 is going to start soon and everyone is hyped up for S20. What are the chances of there being a S21? I know CBS hasn't renewed the series any further
yet, but do you think it will happen? Also if they do renew the series, do you think they would order S22 as well?

ABC- FlashForward, a new Sci-Fi series CW- The Vampire Diaries, a new Drama FOX- Bones NBC- SNL Weekend Update/Community (new comedy) at 8, Parks and Rec at 830 I think Survivor has it in the bag |

I don't think it will be ratings that will ever get Survivor cancelled. I think it will be production not wanting to continue.
And ya, Survivor doesn't have a worry on Thursday nights. It has had that timeslot locked for nearly 10 years now if I am not mistaken. |

I don't think Survivor is in any kind of danger at all just yet. It's got another 5/6 seasons in it yet, if not more.

i heard that Jeff Probst might not be coming back as host after Survivor 20 as his contract ends after 20.i dont think the show will be cancelled however if Probst doesnt come back as host they might delay it until they find someone to take his place. |

Where did you hear that?
Personally, if S20 can give closure to the series, I have no problem with it going off the air after 10 years. Although a year ago it seemed certain S20 was the end, as of now it looks like it'll be back for S21. |

I emailed Lynne and asked her when they planned to begin casting for season 21. She said "check CBS.com in december around the survivor 19 finale"

Burnett has stated in several articles that he's looking at future locations like New Guinea and Japan. He's even said "survivor isn't going
away anytime soon"--so unless he and lynne spillman REALLY want to screw with the fans, then I doubt s20 will be the last of the show.

They won't cancel it. Although they may cut the budget and film back-to-back in the same location for the Fall and Spring seasons.

I'm sure there'll be a s21, however the 2010-11 season is the first time that I'm not 100% comfortable that they'll necessarily renew 2 seasons
at once.
However if they can save significant amounts of money by filming back-to-back in the same location, they may well continue w/ 2 seasons at a time. |

I agree---I think they need a makeover for the casting department---there seems to be a definite lack of passion there. I also think the "budget
cuts" thing was just Probst trying to cover up ASS2. I don't think they'd continuously film in the same location for two seasons unless they had
some lame twist every other season.

Yes there will be a S 21. But that's all I know. If I knew more (cast, etc.) I wouldn't say anything about it because that's not how I roll. :)
