There aren't any guys putting out music like that on U.S. radio and as I'm sure you're well aware, U.S. radio is notorious for cockblocking gay male singers... mika, sisscor sisters, Sam Sparro, et al. so the fact that he's picked up over 100+ spins on pop radio in the last few days is actually quite impressive, esp given the content of the lyrics as has been pointed out by certain people. I'm not sure what planet you were on in the 80s but FYE doesn't sound like the music I was listening to during that decade. |
