Is this thread a fucking joke? You are all too stupid to live.
There is a sensible number of children to have and if you want more than that you shouldn't be allowed to have any children at all. And if you care this much about the fictionalized lives of real people who make terrible decisions regarding the lives of those dependent upon them, may I suggest you buy a dog, name it Old Yeller, and ask it kindly to shoot you. Die with a copy of Brian's Song in your cargo short pockets and I promise I'll high five your corpse at your wake. |

I feel strongly that when one door closes another one opens. That is how a loving Heavenly Father works. Such a wtf thing to say about your dying child. Perhaps they'll cross stitch it on her coffin quilt. |

I don't know very much about this family. Can someone give me a quick rundown on what happened with their kids? I don 't really want to have to read
their website.

Rundown.
Mom has IUI and miscarries twins because she has an incompetent cervix (this means her cervix isn't strong enough to hold one child on it's own till full term) Then she has IUI again and is pregnant with SIX. Instead of doing selective reduction because she obviously can't carry these babies to term she continues with the pregnancy. They start up a website and blog and start asking for donations. She's 23 weeks along and goes into labor. Three of her children die. Her other three are very sick and too small and probably won't all make it. They get spinal taps and she's all YAY~!! They go on vacation to New Orleans The three remaining girls are obviously going to have major issues if they make it and they seem to be in complete denial or totally ignorant to the realities of the situation.. They're just sure that "the lord" is watching out for them and has a plan for them. The dad has a large port wine birthmark on his face. |

We are trying hard to stay strong through all this, but it's been really hard as we have been going through these ups and downs for 5 weeks now.Sigh. If you think you have it tough, then what about the girls? They are the ones truly suffering. If they survive, the rest of your/their lifes will be that way. I'm also willing to bet that many advised you that this would happen if you tried to have all six. But did you listen? No! What did you do instead? You planned for a reality show, asked for sponsors, and for them to move out of the house at age 18. Bet there many out there are biting their tongue down trying to avoid saying "I told you so!" The mother talks in her previous blogs about keeping busy by going out to lunch with friends, etc. Again, I don't know why she can't be the one to call or receive calls. She may not be able to drive yet due to her C-section. I know I wasn't allowed to drive for 6 weeks after my C-section. So maybe that's why she has to wait for Thomas. She can get rides from friends though to see them more often. That also doesn't explain the calls. |

One of the babies, Ashlyn, has to have repeateated spinal taps to drain fluid off fluid her brain. The poor kid weighs one pound, has a bad brain hemmorhage
and hydrocephalus and the parents are thrilled when the docs get a lot of fluid out, yay! Totally not big picture kind of folks.
And they left town for the long Labor Day weekend because they needed a vacation, leaving behind three unstable babies in the NICU. Meanwhile, Ashlyn, who has been trying to get to her Most Heavenly Lord and Father, gets no break. She's now got a fungal infection in her blood. Their blog is filled with support from stupid annoying nice people. Gross. |

I just checked out that blog. They sure seem to travel a lot for having babies in the NICU. A trip to Dallas and a trip to New Orleans. You wouldn't be
able to blast me out of town if I had kids in the hospital.

Me too! Especially this:

The trip to Dallas was for the funeral and although I thought they were gone longer than necessary for that at least there was a reason for that trip.
The trip to New Orleans was selfish and stupid when they've got three preemies that could die at any time. |

I lived in Houston and my in-laws were in Dallas. It is easily a day trip or at most over night. I don't think that I could leave little ones in the
hospital even for their siblings funeral, but that is me and I guess I shouldn't be so judgmental. The big smiley photo at the funeral bugged me. I guess
they put all three in one casket.

That picture bothered me too. Smiling with that tiny casket.

Well, the mother was smiling and the father was trying not to cry. The same happens in every interview, televised or in print. The pics of them in the NICU?
She is smiling too.
Bet the same will happen in the New Orleans pics. Catcherintherye, little Ashlyn almost passed away too when they were on vacation. |

I've been following this story on both the J&K thread and here and their behavior is so unnatural and freakazoid that I've finally concluded that
they really don't want the girls to survive. They're simply trying to put on a front that they do. If they were savvy enough to start a website and
ask for donations, they're smart enough to know that there will be no reality show, no corporate sponsorships, just a lifetime of huge medical expenses and
round-the-clock care.

I understand the need to have children. I had a friend with an incompetent cervix that had 18 pregnancies before she had a child that lived. She had two still
births at six months, one that survived because she had her cervix sewn up after invitro and then went to bed for nine months, and 15 miscarriages. I think she
took it to extreme. If you know you have problems with one kid in there, why would you attempt to carry six? Why does a child have to be from your DNA? There
are so many kids out there that need homes. Adopt.
