How about a combined RC/IC where the winning tribe receives a food reward and gets to sit in on all of the losing tribe's TC then after the vote when they are expecting Jeff to send them back to camp Jeff says immunity is up for grabs and another person will be leaving tonight. They start another challenge (possibly individual). Nothing too complicated maybe even trivia or fire making.
The only problem is that it doesn't give the survivors the chance to strategize. That doesn't just hurt the players, since they don't have a chance to scramble in private, but it also prevents the editors from getting recent boot-oriented confessional footage if the losing tribe turns out not to be the one who came to TC to do the first boot.
I still like the idea of IC - IC - TC/TC best of all. It would be interesting for example to see how a tribe goes about scrambling when they lose the second IC in a row. How do you get your second target to support the vote against your first target? This could for example force, say, Liz and Natalie to try to work *something* if they know they're both going home. They wouldn't necessarily succeed but it would be fun to watch them try. Even if both tribes wind up having to boot someone, there could still be some interesting dynamics going into the second IC. Does the tribe who lost the first IC tip their hand by sitting out their first boot target if they're the majority tribe? Or does the target wind up performing exceptionally well and leading their team to win the second IC, thereby giving himself or herself a chance to stave off execution? And so on...
