I've been a Survivor Fan since the beginning and after last night, I'm done. The show started out great with "everyday" people and that is what made it so enjoyable. Over the years, the manipulation by the producers to give us what they "think" we want to see is just too disgusting for words. Now, before any of you think that this is sour grapes for Betsy getting voted out last night, I can assure you that you are wrong. I actually spoke to her yesterday afternoon and said that I hoped that if Russell was not voted out last night that it would be her so I could stop watching. For the record, I had to watch - she would not tell me a thing. I want to watch Survivor, NOT the The Russell Show. Two weeks into the show and I do not know one person from the other tribe except for that whiner Jasmine, their leader the "good" Russell and Shambo. No time at all has been given to the other tribe. We have seen little or nothing of how their camps got constructed or even how camp life is except for shithead Russell doing stupid things. Now, I am not a child that thinks there is no lying or deceit on this game, that is what makes it fun but when someone can lie about everything, including their occupation? Aren't they taking things just a bit too far? To destroy personal articles of other players - I thought that was against contract? Now he finds the Idol? Please . . . it takes people from other seasons several days and several clues to find the Idol and Russell walks around a few times and finds it? I don't care what Jeff says in his blog (and don't get me wrong, I adore Jeff) but I have never felt so much like Survivor was scripted in my life. This guy makes me long for Coach. At least the only person he was hurting was himself and me when I cringed in embarrassment for him. Since when is there only one challenge and it is for immunity AND reward? Why? So we can devote more time to a hurtful midget that according to these boards is not even what he says he is. Oil Company Millionaire? I'll bet he pumps gas somewhere. Also, if rumor on this board is correct, he is in the next Season also - no amount of "Heroes" that I like from past seasons could make me dream I could sit through another season of him again. This tribe has what appears to be very intelligent people with good educations, but not one person sees through Russell OR is pissed at Ben for the losing the challenge for them and votes for him to be ousted? Scripted, scripted, scripted. So CBS, if you keep up on these boards, I'm gone from your viewing list as well as some family and friends. Hope others will follow and perhaps then you will turn Survivor back to what the original concept was and what was so enjoyed by the viewers. Its been nice Sucks - but I'm out!
