Top 3 LOST Characters

Kk so not only do I feel as though these are the three most likable characters, they're also have the three greatest backstories and the most interesting characteristics. And if that's not enough, I feel as though Michael Emerson & Elizabeth Mitchell are definitely the two best actors on that show, and although Josh Holloway isn't #3 he's definitely one of the better ones [my #3 would probably be Terry O'Quinn]. I had trouble deciding who would round out the #3, #2, and #1 slots. I wasn't sure if I should rank them as my personal favorites or as the best characters. I've decided to do a little bit of both. The third placer will be up in a few.

3. James "Sawyer" Ford

My reason for putting him at #3 is that most of my love for him comes after Season 3 when he basically dumps Kate for Juliet. BEST DECISION EVER. Sawyer is probably THE most dynamic character on the show and he's one of the only characters who, after 5 seasons, I haven't gotten tired of learning more about. Sawyer wasn't my favorite character in the beginning but I always liked him because he didn't get involved with all of that A-Team bullshit and would constantly steal people's shit or con them out of it <3. I was also so happy that in Season 5 they actually revisited Sawyer's con past and got him to con basically con the entire Dharma Initiative. ++++ I'm definitely with the 99% of America who thinks Sawyer is a much better leader than Jack. Before I cream myself with Sawyeradoration, let me just get to his step-by-step write-up.

SO they crash on the Island and Sawyer immediately starts stealing and taking everything he sees, including pretty much every gun. In the season premiere, he basically stapes himself as a badass when he shoots the fucking polar bear.



Sawyer starts flirting with Kate in a very misogynistic way and thundercunts Jack & Sayid get insanely jealous so they torture him for basically no reason whatsoever. A few episodes later, Sawyer gets flashbacks and we are introduced to one of the most striking and deep backstories of all of the losties.



When James was younger, his mother was conned by a man named Sawyer who takes all of their money. His father goes crazy and kills the mother and then himself . Heartbreaking~. At his parents' funeral, James writes a letter to Sawyer basically saying that he would get revenge and kept it with him every day until he finally was able to track down Sawyer.



Ironically and almost poetically, James Ford took on the name "Sawyer" and became a con man in order to get by in life while at the same time being able to track down the man who caused the deterioration of his family. He gets an apprentice named Cassidy (<333) who he fucks now and then.



He makes her fall in love with him while he has all intentions of conning her out of money. However, Sawyer actually fell in love with Cassidy and refused to go on with the con until this dude threatened to kill Cassidy if Sawyer didn't get the money so he had to. Cassidy felt ~betrayed~ and after talking to Kateslut she decided to turn Sawyer in so then he went to jail.



After about a year of jailtime, Cassidy visits Sawyer to tell him that he knocked her up and that she had his baby named Clementine <3. Sawyer continued to con in prison and eventually conned himself out of jail. He got some pension or some sort of money account and he put it in Clementine's name so she could get it eventually. After he got out of jail, he heard that "Sawyer" was in Australia so he went there to kill him.



He shoots the guy and everyone is like YAAAAAY until we realize that he shot the wrong guy and that he got tricked by Hibbs. He then got in a bar fight with someone important and got deported from Australia via FLIGHT 815 <333.

Back to the island~~~

Kate eventually finds the note that JF wrote to Sawyer and is like OMG IM IN LOVE WITH HIM NOW . Sawyer is just kind of like whateva, Kate, I have a daughter back home and buys his way onto Michael's raft. Didn't do a single bit of work. HBIC <3.



The Others eventually attack the boat, kidnap Walt, and leave Sawyer/Jin/Michael to die. They wash up on the other side of the Island and are captured by the Tailies who think that they are others.



Sawyer had been previously shot on the raft and was getting worse and worse because of it (I personally thought he was going to die and I got really really scared. Thank Jacob that didn't happen). With the introduction of Ana-Lucia, Sawyer was kinda turned on by her especially because Kate was creeping him the fuck out with all of her "you remind me of my father who I killed" bullshit. Ana-Lucia and Sawyer eventually fuck.



Sawyer (afterward): "Don't you want my number?" LULZ

Ana-Lucia is killed and then Sawyer, Jack, and Kate are kidnapped at the end of Season 2. Season 3 begins with them being in the polar bear cages on the Hydra Island.



For most of the season, Sawyer basically gets the shit beat out of him while Kate watches. If only Kate got the shit beat out of her I would've enjoyed that season so much more.



GTFOff of him Kate. Pickett, raging bitch of the year, hates Sawyer for making a 'Colleen is a MILF' joke so he puts a heart monitor on Sawyer that will kill him if he gets too excited. Colleen is killed by Sun so Pickett beats the shit out of Sawyer and screams at Kate "DO YOU LOVE HIM?" and she's like "sure". Actually expressing her feelings is too good to be true, and in true Kate fashion she admits she just said it to get Pickett to stop after he leaves . It turns out the heart monitor shit was BS and Sawyer finds out from Ben that they're not on the main island so escaping is useless. He kind of turns emo and stops being so BAMF which is saddening. Then Sawyer & Kate fuck, which made me dislike Sawyer for a bit (but he redeemed himself later <3).



Eventually Sawyer & Kate are rescued by Alex and then the rescue Karl. The four of them are about to leave Hydra island when Pickett starts shooting at them. Then BAM Juliet kills Pickett. Kate's like "I CANT LEAVE JACK I LOVE HIM". It's probably at this point that Sawyer gets a bone in his pants for Juliet and realizes that Kate's bullshit is just TOO much to handle. He goes back to the main island with everyone else where he is a part of the Dharma Van 4. He's also the one who makes the executive decision that Nikki & Paulo are dead and buries them alive (I tried to have a N&P-free ranking but this brought lulz). After this Hurley, gives Sawyer a little talk about how everyone hates him and that he needs to start being nice and step up as leader since Jack is gone and Locke is a retard. Surprisingly, Sawyer CHANGES and becomes a nicer person.



Kate & Jack eventually return along with Juliet who has now defected to the Survivors camp. Kate sees Jack & Juliet flirting so she fucks Sawyer again. Sawyer gets pissy because he knows that she only did it out of love for Jackass. He's basically done with her at this point and I'm like YESSS. Now that that's over with, it's time to get back to some other Sawyer storylines. The Others bring Anthony Cooper (aka Sawyer) to the Island and Locke manipulates Sawyer into killing him. Which he does lol.



At the end of Season 3, a lot of the Others die and Sawyer kills Tom Friendly because he saw Tom take Walt off the boat. This kind of made me WTF, but whatever. I didn't quite understand why kidnapping equated to murder.



Season 4 beings and Sawyer defects to Locke's group over Jack's group (huge surprise). Here, Ben seems to get into his head alot.



Sawyer is kind of wallpaper in Season 4, but he's not with Kate which makes me like him 100x better already. In the finale, Sawyer is in the helicopter and decides to jump out so they can make it to the freighter. He tells Kate to tell Clementine he loves her or something like that idk.



OMG SEASON 5 SAWYER <333333. SULIET <3333333.








Sawyer and Juliet become the leaders of the people who are still on the Island (basically Miles/Locke/Daniel/Rose/Bernard/Charlotte). They survive the time flashes and eventually get to the boat dock that leaves to the mainland. Sawyer convinces Juliet to stay to keep him company and SULIET BEGINS.



They integrate into the Dharma Initiative due to Sawyer's con and live a magnificent life there for 3 years. IDK about you, but can we plz get a spinoff of Dharma Suliet? I would enjoy watching that so much more than Jate crying all the time. But I digress.



Unfortunately, Kate comes back to the Island to ruin the show again and Sawyer falls back in love with her . This decision basically landed him at #3. Kate convinces Sawyer to help her save baby Ben after Sayid shoots him.



The Oceanic 4 that return to 1977 basically fuck everything up and Sawyer spends most of Season 5 trying to correct the bullshit they've caused. At the Season finale, he beats the shit out of Jack for trying to blow up the whole motherfucking island and it was so SATISFYING to watch.



So wish I had a GIF of that. Then something happens to Juliet in the finale that ~destroys~ Sawyer internally that I will not speak of because I have yet to accept that it actually happened .
