The writing's pretty incredible for television, and it spins a great yarn. But I hate that they're always comparing early America to Eden, and not just b/c I hate religion. First of all, the Native Americans had improved the land, so it wasn't unfinished. And second of all, Adam was given dominion over the land and animals in a way that seems to conflict with their use of the word.
