These don't mean actual nominations (that are due mid-October, with the actual nominating ceremony in December and the Grammy Awards themselves for I THINK January 30, 2010).

Doesn't make sense. However, I'm thrilled she's been submitted and hope that she manages to snag a nomination somewhere. Her CD is criminally underrated and wasn't promoted at all.

Biggest asshole at an awards show: Kanye West. Oh wait, there's no category for that (yet). He'll have to settle for simply having security escort him out of the building at any awards ceremony he tries to crash for the next 10 years. If Melinda's CD had sold more than 25,000 or so copies it might have gotten nominated for a grammy. I am one of the people who did buy it and it really is that good. Mantasia should be given a special award for having the good sense to NOT release (or even bother to record) a 3rd album this past year. If she ever does do one it will sell about as well as Taylor and Reuben's latest releases. Aside from saving us the excruciating pain of listening to her, not doing so allows her to still be under contract to 19Evil and thus maintain the illusion of having an actual career.

So far other then Carrie Underwood Fantasia is the only idol to be multiple nominated for both of her albums. Just because she isn't afraid to sit it out and do other things is a credit to HER.
