Casey was not supported, and it's clearly because of her look and weight. She is one of my absolute favourite winners of all time. She ranks up there with Melissa and Kelly as my favourites. Phenomenal.
OzIdol2 was amazing, way better then OzIdol4. Casey Donovan for lyfe. |

I haven't seen all of Casey's performances. I'll have to watch that one since I do love India Arie.
Just from what I've seen I'm not wowed by her. |

i dunno, i never understood all the Casey love, i didnt really see or hear anything special about her voice.
I still kinda find it funny how both final 2 messed up their coronation songs. |

That performance of "Beautiful" by Casey is very good.
I still don't like her voice though, especially when she goes low. |

Speaking of Ngaiire Joseph I saw her at Live Earth yesterday. She's one of the backup singers for Blue King Brown (awesome awesome band check out their songs on youtube).
So at least she's doing better than Casey (who also didn't wow me, especially the Beatles Night /hate) P.S Anyone remember Laura Gissara? AHAHAHAHAHA! Best. Contestant. Ever. |

I loved "Beautiful" by Casey, and India.Arie is my goddess.

Did anyone see Shannon Noll at Live Earth?
Apparently he was there. I only saw the part of the Sydney show when Eskimo Joe was on. It was like 1:30 in the morning when it was being shown and I wanted to stay up to see Missy Higgins and stuff but I was too tired. |

Shannon's next single will be released in August and his 3rd album will be released in September.
I can't wait. Also can anyone from Australia answer this for me... Are Shannon and Courtney typical names for guys? I just wonder because here in North America they'd be consider mostly female names. |

Yeah, Eskimo Joe were there but their old stuff is so so so so much better than their new stuff. Blue King Brown: 11.30am - 11.55am (NGAIRRE! They were so so goot.) Toni Collette & The Finish: 12.10pm - 12.35pm (Didn't catch any of it because of the damn drink queue.) Sneaky Sound System: 12.50pm - 1.15pm (Everyone went dance crazy, it was awesome.) Ghostwriters: 1.35pm - 2.00pm (Good but a bit meh-ish.) Paul Kelly: 2.20pm - 2.45pm (<3 One of the best Aussie songwriters <3) Eskimo Joe: 3.05pm - 3.40pm (PLAY STUFF FROM GIRL!) Missy Higgins: 4.00pm - 4.35pm (She's always good live but her singing sometimes pierces my eardrums.) John Butler Trio: 4.55pm - 5.30pm (They put on a bloody good show.) Wolfmother: 5.50pm - 6.25pm (They were alright. The best I've ever seen of them was 2 years ago when they weren't so big.) Jack Johnson: 6.45pm - 7.20pm (The smell of pot was constant through his set. Coincidence? Great tunes) Crowded House: 7.50pm - 8.25pm (Best evah.) Wait, what was this thread about again? Sooo, I have been watching season 2 since I just got a dvd burner and am putting the episodes onto disc. And it has just reaffirmed my hatred for Anthony. Now granted, The Prayer was quite possibly the best Idol performance ever. But does no one care that every other performance he ever did sucked? And they all sounded that same with that weird vibrato he has going on? I just don't understand how love for him transcends beyond teenyboppers and hausfrau.
Also, I have realized that Marty was not all that great. He had a great voice but picked the most gad awful songs imaginable. I mean really...The Power of Love, Broken Wings? Gag Courtney was robbed |
