Congrats to Jen's ole ill shaped ass.
If her or Frenchie had gotten the part, that was what's up. She betta know that all eyes will be on EFFIE, so she betta bring it correct or else recovery from blowing the biggest role in theater history will definately linger over her head foreva!!! I have faith that she'll do justice to effie, she definately isn't lacking in the voice department, but the acting remains to be seen. This is one movie I will make a top priority to see. I would definately want to see her love scene with jamie foxx's character(if i'm guessing correctly that effie has a love scene). but uh congrats again. |

1. Vonzell is physically not the right "type" for this role.
2. Vonzell doesn't have the vocal range for this role. 3. The part Beyonce is playing is actually the right role for Beyonce. Vonzell could have possibly played THAT role and maybe she will someday in some "Dreamgirls" tour. But Vonzell playing Effie? No way, baby. |

You seriously do not know anything about this character or the songs involved that this character sings, do you? Vonzell is not right for Effie White physically or vocally. Whether I like Vonzell or not has nothing to do with this particular casting of Effie.

Vonzell would make a great Deena - the part Beyonce landed. In fact, one could argue that she would have made a better Deena. But no way could she have played the Effie role.
