Liquid. Undissolved powder will eventually clog your drain.

liquid.
i read an article in the times earlire this week (maybe last week?) from this woman who wrote a 400 page book about the proper way to do laundry (based on when her son went to harvard and called asking her for laundry advice. BARF). anyway, she says that the concentrated liquid is only for newer model machines that use very little water. she also mentioned how americans over clean their clothes. that's not a problem for me, i pretty much only wash my dainties after one washing, everything else i can wear more than once. shirts ill only wear twice, as long as you wear an undershirt and deodorant. #*+@# can be worn literally 20-30 times before it's necessary to wash. other kinds of pants probably 5 or 6 times. depending on what you do for a living i guess. also if you keep dirty house, your clothes will always be dirty. if you keep clean house, your clothes will be clean. if you have cats, bet on it, people can smell that on you. ther;es a lot more tips, i wish i could share, but i have housework to do (seriously!) and someone last night turn my psot count from 10, to 3 *bfly* |

Liquid for the win. Someone mentioned that the liquid is good for the newer machines and is correct. The energy efficient models use less water and LESS
detergent at the same time. The bad thing about some liquids is the amount of animal fat in them. This can cause moldly smell in the washer if you do not let
the washer air out now and then. I also suggest running a wet rag soaked in water/vinegar to help curb the mold mildew smell from developing in the gaskets.
Sorry, overkill. |

Both. Powder with bleach for the whites, liquid for the dark. I have front loading machines and it's been a bitch to try and find a liquid detergent that
doesn't make the washer smell like crap. I've tried every trick in the book to keep the machine smelling clean ( I mean, it's soap and water FFS -
what's to make it smell so bad?) and I've tried them all with only one that didn't leave a smelly residue. However, true to form, I can't
recall which one it was so I've been trying them all over again. Next up is Arm and Hammer so I hope that one works. I'm not allowed to use any Tide
products because they animal test so I hope the previous winner wasn't Tide.
