"Cherish"  
One of Madonna's most "simple" yet most beautfiul videos. Madonna seems at her warmest and most maternal in this Herb Ritts directed video. Madonna, conservatively dressed (by Madonna standards), parades around a California beach while mer-men dance in the water and she befriends a young mer-tot who later becomes a real boy.

I know many people will be shocked that "Vogue" ranks towards the bottom of the list. A very solid Madonna video with the forever iconic Madonna vogue pose. The song is a gay mans dream and is arguably Madonna at her peak. Physically and creatively. A great Madonna video it is, but it lacks a certain something that pulls me in and doesnt let me go =( That is why it ranks #21  #20. "Burning Up"
   Madonna's very first music video, and upon watching it
again recently, a very underrated Madonna video. Release in 1983, at the beginning of the music video movement, it should rank with other classic pop videos at
the time. Dark with a very modern retro feel.... Burning Up is a hidden gem in Madonna's long videography.

3 months pregnant, Madonna returned to her crass, sexual self in 2000's video for "Music." This British Madonna mocks Hip-Hop music videos and clubhops, visits a strip club, drinks champagne and just lives the high life.... A refreshing and fun video after the amazing, but sometimes too serious Ray of Light era Madonna. |

Don't Tell Me > Music for sure. I enjoyed late 90s/early 2000s era Madonna. Then American Life happened and for the first time EVER as a Madonna fan I
was like, "omg ew." Then Confessions came out and I was like, "thank you jesus she's back." IMO she's still kinda in the
Confessions phase. I wonder what's next.... you never know, because she's reinvented herself a million times and it almost always works.
You know, after this you should rank the eras of Madonna. |

A video that is usually considered Madonna's best, Ray of Light comes in at the lower end of the ranking. A brilliant video, but with this video, it marked the beginning of the end for Madonna's impressive music videos. Thanks to Jonas Ackerlund's frantic shot to shot, highly sped up footage, the video is a nonstop party. |
