I like the new blue buffs, but I don't think having a merge at 12 is such a good idea. This season is so weird, and not in a good way.

The IC is called "Nut Cracker"

Looks like maybe they have several targets with different pts for each target hit

It appears to be somewhat of a shuffleboard set-up, but with the tee-ball. Each section of the triangle seems to be worth a different amount depending on where
the ball lands (zero, if it lands outside of it) and there's a net to aim for 10 points. Does anyone else remember a promo that said they'd be tested
in their accuracy, or was I just imagining things?
And can anyone tell if there's an immunity necklace next to where Probst is standing? (At least I think that's Probst in the first picture, where Jaison's bat is pointing) |

50 bonus points if you can hit Probst!
The merge press photos are date stamped 29 June while the "Nut Cracker" challenge press photos are date stamped 1 July, so we have another full three day cycle. |

i'm just guessing on some of those back numbers, but something like this?

I'd say something very much like this.
Nice graphic Rabs. |

Nicely done, Miss Rabbit!

I wonder who wins this... I'm guessing it's Dave!

i'm thinking that anyone mentioned (erik, shambo, laura, monica) probably doesn't win.
Mick did at least one lame hit. Kelly looks comfortable and relaxed in her attempt. Dave looks like a bat is a foreign object to him Eric's might be a little high. I'm wondering if some of the men will end up hitting it over the fence and out of bounds. My short list: kelly, brett or natalie. just gut. |

I'm thinking the TIMESTAMPS ;) may provide a clue.
(All shot with the same camera) Laura 1:31
Dave 1:51

Laura and Kelly's timestamps are a good 20 minutes before the other ones... Each turn shouldn't last more than a minute. If we look in this photo:

Good thought.
The order appears to be Jaison Russ Brett Mick Erik John Dave Perhaps the Dave 1:51 shot is the last of the first round, and then Mick 1:55, Erik 1:56 and John 1:57 are the male playoffs. |

However, Mick, Erik and John are also standing next to each other in the group shot.
Maybe Dave had already taken his turn? Anyway, I'm going with John as my immune guy and Shambo (softball, anyone?) as my immune gal. |

I wonder if it's more like golf than baseball (or Tball). That is, accuracy is a lot more important than power. So not necessarily so much of an advantage
for physically larger (stronger) players. Laura is the only one who looks strained in her swing, but she also seems to have hit the tee.
It's a little interesting that they are hitting it with the curved side of the bat, not one of the flat sides. If the ball is bouncy, rather than nerfy or beany, there could be some really craziness. Do we have any vidcaps of a ball landing? |

I as thinking of golf, too. The tee is the same height for everyone, so maybe the taller players will do better because they'll be able to scoop the ball
up to have it land on the target.

in the past, haven't they stood in order of who's in the lead? ETA: i think that is only if they get one round apiece isn't it? *confused and
babbling*
If Dave was first, he would naturally go to the end of the line. If Jaison beat Dave's score, he'd go stand between John and Dave and so on. if Dave DID go first, and each guy took 1 minute apiece Dave 1:51 Jaison 1:52 Russ 1:53 Brett 1:54 Mick 1:55 Erik 1:56 John 1:57 it fits the timeline. Or, if Dave is last, then Mick, Erik & John would be on round two. Since the numbers are so similar on the course, there could feasibly a bunch of ties. So perhaps its the cumulative score after 3 rounds. and yeah, makes sense that it's split into different heats. men and women. |

Judging by the swings, some are trying to hit the ball hard (Laura, Mick, Eric), while others are trying to just hit it (Jaison, Kelly) Hit it hard and get big
points to be safe, or put it in play for a few points, but stay alive???

I'm thinking that since all males are present, this is the start
If there are two contests with a total of 12 players it would seem the challenge would be constructed to show everyone shooting, but also come to a quick conclusion. Since Jaison is first he will be the leader, until someone exceeds his score. Since there are limited attainable one-shot scores (see Rabs graphic) there should be several with the same score in a sudden death playoff. |
