Sorry it took so long to post this (I am not in the U.S. right now, and see the shows much later), and sorry if someone has answered this before (I did look through the old topics back to the date of the premiere, and didn't see anything), so...
The two flights into Tokyo landed at 1555 and 1603 (late in the afternoon). The racers proceeded directly to the studio for "sushi roulette." The racers then led the tourists directly (minus some teams getting lost) to the pitstop.
The second half of the show begins "Meghan and Cheyne, who were the first to arrive at 12:19 p.m., will depart at 12:19 a.m."
It seems that the roadblock didn't actually happen until the next day. I know the show frequently omits events of "lesser importance." Does anyone know exactly what happened (meaning the actual sequence of events) in this case?
