New rule: Only direct flights? |
Lead | |
|
Is there a new rule saying you may only take direct flights? Both Schiphol and Dubai are huge airports, and with a wait that long surely it would be worth
looking into other flight options?

It does it in every season.

I noticed that too. It could be a rule change, or it may be that the brothers were afraid of getting Brad and Victoria'd out of the race. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone say "only direct flights." |

Remember Andrew & Dan bought the shoes in Kazakhstan before heading to Moscow. They thought that they left their shoes in the Kazakhstan leg.

I could do without airport screw-ups.

I'm wondering if the "direct flight" thing was just a rule for this leg to avoid the first couple teams ending up a day ahead of the rest or
soemthing.

^ I agree. Normally indirect flights are allowed.

Indirect flights meaning stopovers (1 to 2 cities)?

I think it was just a restriction for this clue; they connected in Bangkok to get from PP to Dubai. |

Remember back in TAR13, El Alto International Airport in La Paz is small and it has no direct flights to New Zealand. The teams connected in Santiago to
Auckland via International Date Line.

Karo wrote: So was I, actually :-) It's larger than Vientiane and Yangon, but being the main airport of a country I'd still call it tiny... Flying east and connecting thru China or Taiwan doesn't seem like a viable option, the flights are too long. Singapore would be an option, but look at the schedule and you'll see that the vast majority of flights go to BKK and KUL. |

Siem Reap's airport is the most developed and used airport of Cambodia, not Phnom Penh.
