Making light of it with a lame flame is not going to convince anyone. In fact, you are encouraging the notion that AIDS can be treated lightly be doing so!

Re-think your strategy. Just because "this is OT" doesn't mean we adults cannot interject some actual serious information from time to time. You know, message boards evolve, just like everything in life. Stepping outside the expected responses isn't going to be the end of the world. You might even gain more respect for doing just that if you give it a try.

Let me ask you something -- when you were a kid, did you not rebel when you were TOLD what to do, when your decisions were berated and insulted and your mistakes were jeered? Did you not respond better and more wisely when someone explained your errors in judgment without derision?

Lots of posts and lots of people here get into serious discussions from time to time. There's no need to make wisecracks in EVERY fucking post.
