Well it goes withoust saying that "he who shall not be named" will feature prominently but I think we will now see the imergence of Natalie and John.
It is interesting that John got such a negative first episode ark but was shown as a player last night. His comment about Junior Varsity Survivor play was
hilarious but also kinda cocky, so maybe the negative ark will return, since spoilers suggest he is not in the F3.
Mick was still largely invisible, so he will hang around for a bit but when do we see his game play or does he just not have game period? Jaison got a spike again last night and was IMHO positively portrayed, not sure if it means anything. It could just be that he outlasted Eric and now his story is told. *shrugs* Laura will be going sooner rather than later and I suspect at the hands of Shambo, who hates her with a passion. The other "Heathers" will last only as long as Natalie and Russevil require them. Dave will keep gaming and will go out still playing hard and wondering what the Hell happened to their numbers advantage. Brett is just a nice guy and is dead man walking. He has not shown any game yet. |

Since Shambo was the only one not to vote for Eric, it goes without saying that she is on the outs (don't you love it when somebody write 'it goes
without saying' and then goes on to say it?). Shambo will be used as an instrument to engineer votes until she is finally cut loose before the final five.
Having not been here for a while, I'm guessing that "he who shall not be named" is the Kevin Spacey look-alike. If so, he is going to be doing most of the engineering. Forgive me if the above post is "Junior Varsity" MESS posting, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. |

Welcome back FM.
Jaison's spike is probably not a good thing for him. Mr. Unmeantionable probably wins IC since he's shown as the target, and Jaison is obviously numero dos. Natalie's game is spiking, but for a different reason. Does Mick do anything? Laura bugs the crap out of me with her teen girl speech and ugly fake boobs. Please, go home soon! |

So Russ has an F2-4 agreement with everyone except Dave, Brett, and Kelly? And none of those people realize it except maybe his core allianace of Mick and
Natalie? Seems like "everyone" (esp Laura and John) should act like they're targeting Russell in public, but secretly being trying to keep him in
the game as their hidden alliance. They can sell this to their core allies (Kelly/Monica, Dave/Brett) as setting up a blindside of the other Galu suballiance.
It is interesting that going into the merge down so far in numbers turns out to be an advantage for FoFo - Galu feel like they can deal with them later, but spend the first couple of post-merge boots knocking out their internal threats. (I think that's a little different than Tocantins, where members of the majority tribe wanted to ditch everyone and switch to the other tribe. Here, Galu are trying to take advantage of the tiny FoFo block, without joining it.) Hopefully they'll start having some of those rewards where the winner picks a couple of people to share it with them. Arc-wise, John, Jaison, and Laura should be the next three out, I'm guessing in that order. They've each got a recent increase in visibility, including plenty of exposure of their flaws. but not really any development of a story that would take them deeper in to the game. (As opposed to Kelly, Brett, and even Monica, who barely even exist. One of them probably outlasts Dave, just because they are some unmemorable that the other players forget to vote them out, but probably their boot episodes with be devoted to late development of Mick and Natalie, along with more Shambo hilarity.) |

Hello everyone - been a while for me too...
I am enjoying this season. Russell is providing a different approach to game play. We haven't seen it on this show for a long time. Players have been almost too careful of late. He clearly is the star of this season and based on his editing dominance likely makes it to the final 2 or 3. Is there any chance that he will get votes? Will the jury appreciate his type of strategy and reward him with a win? I think he is ugly, inimical and repulsive, but his type of gameplay usually results in nearly immediate ousting. The fact that he has lasted this long, with such a bull dog approach, makes me think he deserves the win... Anyone can ride coattails - we've seen that. But not everyone can play with such blatant audacity and actually be successful. And Shambo - has she been "in the know" for any of her tribal council appearances? Jaison became somewhat inspirational last night but seems like a classic ouster at the final 5/4 after he overcomes and outlasts galu. Natalie - beautiful woman. Her strategizing with Laura was nice to see. I think her story will finally change from Russel's tacit sidekick to strategizer that works the women, as she did with Laura. Erik - his ousting was quite satisfying. great season... |

birdlady wrote:The Laura thing was only to F7, with Russell pledging his idol to her when they get there. That deal clearly died long before Russell had to get rid of his idol. By the time Russell had Laura set to be booted before the IC, sometime after she had sold him out to Galu, there was no relationship left between Laura and Russell. In fact, Russell wouldn't even believe Natalie when she told Foa Foa that the Galu girls were voting with them against Erik. If Russell had any trust left in Laura, he could have easily tried to confirm Natalie's story. But at that point he didn't trust Laura, and he knew Laura didn't trust him. Russell's relationship with John, however, seems full of promise, idol or not, partly because Laura is the #1 target for each of them. I have no doubt they'll come together again on that point very soon.

How safe it Russell? He's shown as such an obvious target for next week... which we know is a red-herring and means that he probably is probably going to
win immunity... haven't we seen this before, though? The one shown as being on really thin ice this week is okay for now, but not much longer...
I hope he gets far... he's entertaining. He's just been SOOO grossly overhyped. I know we've seen those with his edit get to the 2 or 3-spot before... but none had an edit quite like his, other than JFP. It's rare. |

We're probably going to have another Russell centered episode. Since he's shown in the preview to be in trouble, then he's definitely not going
home. It might be another situation where Russell makes mistakes and acts as a clueless person, and Natalie actually persuades the girls again to vote one of
the guys instead of Russell. Hopefully she'll get more strategy sessions from here on, and get people's respect for playing the game. I don't think
she wins based on her edit, but you can always hope.

birdlady wrote:I find the reward challenge where the winner picks others to go along at this point interesting. I would think it would be good for Foa Foa to get together prior and say if Nat wins she takes two of the Galu girls and if one of the guys wins take the Galu guys and everybody else "act" POed and work on the other faction. But it always seems they take their best bud and somebody else who they work on just a little bit. The rewards are never used as an all out mental assault on the other factions. |

Laura and Erik were running Galu. (god, was Erik an ass or what at tribal... Has he never watched Survivor? You don't go into tribal all cocky and
spout off.) Now Laura is in trouble with Shambo and Russ. Shambo however has been left out of the loop by both her supposed Galu allies, the guys who
elected her tribe leader and then by Russ and Foa Foa who let her be a loose vote at TC. She is going to become the swing vote sooner rather than later... I
predict this week.

I think it is pretty amazing the editors shows Natalie scheming and plotting -- someone other than Russell. What's odd is that Mick is even more under the
radar and under-edited than Natalie.

in that last clip posted by "chaoswva", Rocket Scientist says something to the effect of, "you did what you were supposed to do," or
something like that... any idea what he was referring to?
