Posts: 9429 (11/08/09 10:56 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Cook Islands and Micronesia were both pretty great seasons, IMO, but Micronesia went downhill in the finale when the bullshit F2 was pulled out last minute and got Cirie booted. That last IC was soooo rigged for Manhanda to make back to back finals too. She has those gigantic man hands that could hold that little pole together and Cirie's ladylike and dainty hands couldn't hold it that long. Yeah Yul's idol was total bullshit because it expired at the F4, giving him a pass to the finals, but he earned it by controlling his alliance so that they wouldn't defy him and make him use his idol early. Plus his win wasn't nauseating and a horrible ending. His was a good ending to a good season. Parvati's win destroyed the greatness of Micronesia because she never belonged there in the first place.

Parvati was a far more dynamic character than Stacy, Michelle Y, and Cassandra combined whose legend is coffee grinds, falling off a platform, and "mhm." Whine about Amber being back for ASS all you want, but Parvati actually was a decent character on her original season. Since when is "abusing" friendships not part of the game??? Sure, she may have taken it to the next level and flirted with James, but it's a completely viable strategy, and the only one that's allowed a woman to win in the past eleven seasons other than Danni. Also, LOL @ lucky breaks, when Parvati hardly had as many as a lot of other winners have. :sobs @ the lack of minority representation in your desired FVF tribe

Fairplay sticks around, Parvati is gone first. Jonathan isn't evacuated, that causes Kathy to stick around because she's got him to lean on, and adds in 2 more pre-merge boots. There was supposedly a double boot planned, Parvati would have been dumped at new Airai because of the Alexis/Natalie/Eliza/Kathy/Jonathan alliance. James isn't evacuated at the F7, the F3 stays as planned. F3 is Amanda/Cirie/Parvati and Cirie stomps the girls in the vote. Parvati would get Natalie, Amanda would get Ozzy/James, Cirie would get Eliza/Jason/Alexis/Erik and win. Parvati had many, many more lucky breaks than any other winner, that is a fact. There are so many situations where she should have been voted off or lost the game, but quitters and evacuations messed up the game.

Parvati did play well and took advantage of certain situations. I do differ a little, though. If Jonathan hadn't been evacuated Kathy likely wouldn't have completely quit in the middle of the day like she did. However, according to her answers to questions here on Sucks, she still did want to go home from the very beginning of New Airai, even before Jonathan left. She promised them that she wouldn't throw a challenge but that if they ever did lose, she wanted them to vote for her. The double boot was likely going to be Episode 8 (since that was a single day/single challenge episode). If Jonathan and Kathy stick around and keep helping Airai win, Chet and Tracy still leave Malakal, but on Episode 8 Kathy's time is up and she gets voted out as she wishes. I really doubt Jonathan would try to convince her to stay.

He'd have forced Kathy to stay and get Parvati out of the game. If Kathy wanted to quit, she could quit after the vote and then Jonathan would have a good shot at the merger majority if they threw the IC after that to dump James. He'd have himself, Eliza, Ami, Alexis, Natalie, and Jason against Cirie/Ozzy/Erik/Amanda. Parvati was dead meat pre-merge but was saved by quitters and an evacuation. Then in the post-merge she never was in trouble because everyone saw her as a goat to take for a victory, where Cirie would have won at the F3, but James being evacuated changed plans.

And James evacuation was actually a huge obstacle for Parvati to overcome. Sorry! Keep plugging away tho. I'm sure one day your obsessive bitterness will find something to root itself into :)

I'm still tempted to believe they were going to do a Final 2 from the start. I mean we probably will never know 100% either way, but that's just my take. 2. There's a lot of debate over whether Fairplay quitting was something that really happened because of Bonaduce breaking his teeth/his girlfriend being pregnant or if he did something that many people wouldn't put past him and planned to quit from the start so he'd get to go on a trip, keep the Fairplay legacy alive, and mess with the fans' heads. I'd LIKE to think that he wasn't planning to quit from the get go and that Bonaduce smashing his face and the girlfriend having a baby issues were what made him quit because I'm a JAYE fan, but it's possible he just quit to stir things up. And well, we might not ever know for certain.

I'm surprised that hasn't come out before. If I was Becky, I'd have claimed that the rock hit injured me and sue production for at least 2nd place prize. X They're still doing it to like with Jaison even though he hasn't quit and he's been nothing but entertaining and thinking by himself. But no he must be edited as the whiny undeserving lazy black man even though his hands are destroyed by what is the most difficult season yet! Yasmin was casted purposely based on stereotype and Burnett was loving every minute of it Ashly quit the eating challenge and still got the sweetheart edit, Anthony back in Fiji got ate up alive because of it.

It gave the fans the majority which could have ended her control over the tribe. James and Erik weren't Team Parv, but their presence in the game gave the girls a common enemy and kept them together, which is what Parvati wanted and needed as she was the crux in the girls alliance having both Alexis and Natalie AND Cirie and Amanda. She would have been safe no matter what. James leaving early and Erik winning immunity accelerated the breakdown of the girls alliance while the fan girls still had a natural ally in Erik. If it wasn't for Amanda, Parvati and Cirie's play with the idol, Parvati could have been out at three or four.

We're not dealing with direct quotes here. Yul was probably talking about why he thinks she was cast for Micronesia, and wasn't directly commenting on her game, since he probably considers watching the show to be beneath him. Either that, or his impression was unduly influenced by his friendship with Jonathan.

She's the luckiest bitch around, especially since she was fortunate enough to surround herself by stupid people. At Cook, Yul & Becky would have voted her off directly after the merge but Jon and Candy had to pay for their sins first. At FvF there was too much deer in the headlights gameplay along with awestruken players that could'nt differenciate the game from a reunion show or vacation.
