I can't barely choose which season was more horrific between Australian Outback and Thailand. That's like choosing between Gonorrhea and Syphilis.
I'll pass on both.

There's been way more responses about Australia being a worse season than Thailand so I think we can all put it to rest that Thailand is no longer
considered the worst Survivor and that there are worse ones like season 2. No more bad Thailand jokes ok?

I am 22 and was 14 when Outback aired. 8 years later it is still one of my favorites. Fiji is no where near the top, but I think it is underrated. I liked the
post merge. Tocantins is underrated too. It was nice to have a post Palau and even post Cook Islands season that wasn't bombarded with twists. All Stars
was cool, but like someone said past reputation determined when you got boot. Hopefully this won't happen with Heroes vs Villains.

The last 3 episodes of Outback are the dullest final 3 episodes of any season of Survivor. I never watch them. The only good episode after Jerri was booted
was the Final 6 episode because the flooded camp scenes were epic. Jerri's blindside was great but it made the ending very anticlimactic. Normally, the
last episode or two are interesting because the controlling alliance has to eat each other but after Jerri and Amber were prematurely eliminated the
controlling alliance only had 3 people left. Unless either of them won Immunity, it was a given that Rodger and Elizabeth were going to finish 4th/5th and
they knew it. Rodger/Elizabeth/Nick would have been better off trying to convince Jerri/Amber that they were on the bottom of the Ogakor pecking order rather
than siding with Tina/Colby/Keith. That is what players have tried in more recent seasons. The 3 of them could have tried to persuade Jerri and Amber to vote
out Keith.

Jerri said in her last words that she saw it coming IIRC.

How could any true Survivor fans think these 2 seasons are up with the worst

De Nile is a river in Egypt. Don't be all butthurt that the first season you watched was boring and sucked.

Survivor is a great concept that gets screwed up with lame casting, horrid locations and stupid twists. Thailand was a really weak cast with a twist (tribal
drafting) that resulting in a failed season. Australia was tainted by the collaberation between Tina and Colby to essentially share prize money.
But the post All-Star recruited Survivors have a plethora of horrors to choose from: China with its uber lame mud pit setting with houses and powerlines in the background and a lame cast ... S16 with its recruits being passed off as super fans by a CBS that must regard us as complete idiots (Chet, Mikey B, Thing 2, ... Super Fans my ass). Tocantins, Cook Islands, Fiji were all disasters. Survivor has been sent into the wilderness of MTV like casting ... we're like golf fans watching all the lame celebrity stuff off season waiting for the Masters. We still watch golf but you've got to imagine what these lame recent seasons could have been but for Lynne Spillman and the suits at CBS who have lost about $5 billion in stockholder equity in the last 5 years. Samoa but for Russ (love or hate him) would be us watching Dave the Dork, Erik the LaLa narcissist, John the doof, Bret the ghost (ok the gays think he's hot), Jaison the occasional animated by some offense, Kelly there to wear a bikini, Monica the 24/7 PMS, Laura the Born Again with Fake tits ... good god it would be aweful.

No ever single season post all stars is better than Borneo. Nothing comes close to how boring that was. At least it has an excuse since it was the first one
though. Australia was very new too. Thailand just sucked though.

Cook Islands is the worst, but Samoa could take that title if it has a shitty ending. Tocantins is right behind them followed by Fiji.

After that, I decided to pull for the contestant that I thought was playing the best overall game. It doesn't happen every season but usually the person that I consider to be playing the best game does win and I am usually satisfied with the outcome. |
