Remove this ad I finally got my chance to get my shot last week...considering I've had patients with H1N1 since September that is kinda disconcerting. Have they been giving it to the general public yet? We've been getting lots of kids with it that are getting pretty sick and some deaths have resulted. My hospital is now mandating all pregnant employees get it ASAP.

He gets the shot, rather than the nose swab-thingy because of a history of exercise-induced asthma. I wish they'd give me the shot. I'm going to try and talk them into it.

I opted for the injection because the nasal spray has deactivated (but live) virus, while the shot doesn't. Because of my dad's compromised immunities, we want to take zero chance of carrying any virus around him.

Remove this ad a woman from my church who was in the church nursery this past week posted on her FB yesterday, that her son was "being treated for h1n1" She said the rest of her family are being pre-emptively treated for it as well. Thinking back, I don't remember seeing her son on sunday. if he was there, he was in one of the sunday school classes with at least 5 other kids. ugh.
