Do you plan on leaving her? Do you think of the two of you as a team doing things and planning for your future together? Or do you just live together and think
of your individual futures and how things affect you individually? Go ahead, be on a team and get married.

Congrats!
Have you picked out the Her's and Her's wedding outfits yet? |

Seven years and no ring? The answer is pretty obvious. You are really not interested in spending THE REST OF YOUR LIFE with her.

Me and my ex were together like 5 years before we got married. We had always planned on doing it sometime down the road. We had lived together as a married
couple all those years. We both said it wasn't going to change anything. We both said it was just an excuse for a party and a vacation. We got married
and she changed and 2 years later she finally left.
Not saying I'm sorry she left, mind you. The fuckfest that followed 7 years of honorable monogomy was absolutely wonderful. But if you wanna stay with her, know that things have a very high probability of changing significantly after you tie the knot, no matter what is said by whom. |

We already wear rings and I didn't say yes yet ... I didn't say no either, I just don't see the big deal.
Fuzzy, I can't imagine life without her, no plans to leave her, no. And SA, I have no idea what we would wear but there is a lovely spot by the water here that would be just perfect. I'm a cut offs and bucket of chicken type of gal but I'm thinking she's going to want something a bit more formal. |

What changed?? I didn't know you were a same sex couple but that doesn't change anything.
You are a committed couple who think of yourselves and your futures together so get married if you would like. Personally, I don't see marriage as the only way to make a long term life committment but many people do. If it is important to her and will make her happy why not? |

DON'T DO IT!! I think I speak for a bunch of folks when I say why change now if this is working for you? Sometimes, more often than society at large wants
you to know, the pressure that comes with the legally binding bullshit can cause a perfectly good relationship to disintegrate!
My girlfriend and I have been together for over 6 years now, and are content with living together and sharing our lives this way. Just sayin'... |

oh no i was just about to accuse you of being a selfish dude that was using her for sex.
that's all. |

My wife and I were together for almost 8 years before we got married. Living together most of that time. Nothing has changed since said I do.

Well that's how I feel, I mean I feel like we're "married" already. It's because fucking Ellen was on Oprah and my g/f was all weepy
because Ellen and Portia called each other "wife" all hour.
Fuck Oprah. |

You do what works for you.
But I do think you know pretty quick. My husband proposed 3 weeks after our first date. We've been married quite happily for 18 years. |
