Battle of the Wedding Planners

Abbie and Drew want a wedding that echoes their fun-loving, no-frills attitude and pays homage to their roots. They will have 3 of America?s best wedding planners competing for the chance to plan their wedding using the couples $15,000 budget.

Well, you were one off: One flaming planner, one midge, and one crazy bitch.

So the experienced (gay) planner had this poser couple pegged: they claimed they wanted something different ("vintage & boardwalk-y"), but in the end, they opt for traditional tackiness. Cheers to the boring couple!

I knew that they would pick the hotel....the bitch's idea was plan dumb (figures)...the midget was very annoying....geez she put down everything the other 2 did,,,get a life shorty, I would of strangled her if I was doing a wedding with her. The casting was absolutely spot of. WTF does TLC find these freaks?

Do you think it will be 3 different planners every week? The job of wedding planner must attract loons. Though I can't say I'd want to be dealing with bridezillas all the time for work - yikes.

Apparently this was a one time special show. TLC seems to be all over the place if you take a look at their upcoming schedules. I believer they have no clue wtf they are doing and are trying out various shows......some names.......Little People, Big Pregnancy, Family Armor( Two Mormon brothers-in-law run a cutting-edge vehicle bulletproofing business in Texas while juggling fatherhood and faith.)

, Happily Ever Faster, Rebuilding Faces.....I guess the JK+8 shit fest got them in a real tizzy.......looking forward to the Mormon one!

They're also advertising something like looks like Battle of the BBQs. As long as they keep "Say Yes to the Dress", I'm happy. It's my Friday night guilty pleasure. I just don't get tired of watching divas try on gowns. I don't know why. And the Pnina Tournay (or however she spells her name) gowns look like brothel trash half the time. And I love Keasha and flaming Randy is a joy to behold.

Good idea. I didn't realize it was a one-time extravaganza! ;)

I watched Say Yes after the wedding show. It WAS fun.

How many of the wedding dress sales people are transies? That sales -'woman' with the outlined vadge lips on her face ... would YOU buy a dress from her? She doesn't seem to have a clue what she's doing either, but has a lot of attitude anyway. And the ridiculously tacky and outrageously-priced wedding dresses that the brides-to-be pine for are not to be missed. Very funny show.

OMG. I love Randy. He is a joy to watch. Did you know he was Mrs. Gay America in the 90's? They showed his picture on one show. He looks better as a man. LOL I watched his very first SYTTD show the other day and his intro was hilarious. He's been dressing his mom since he was nine and they did a whole segment on his ties. I think the Panina Tournay dresses are awful. Two seasons ago she had a corseted dress that they showed almost every week that was simply awful - brothel trash is putting it nicely so I kind of wonder if she isn't connected to the show somehow. (Kidding - I know there's no accounting for taste!) I love this show and love seeing the brides come back for fittings and then seeing pictures of the actual wedding. I can't help but think "suckers!" but I'm comfortable knowing that half of them won't make it to the five year mark. Like blondie last night. They're toast.

OMG! I had no idea about Randy being Ms Gay America! I love it! That Panina Tournay corseted dress is still a "winner" and many brides choose it, apparently. it is ridiculously trashy. The sales lady with the outlined lips has been discussed on the the SYTTD message boards. I think she had a lip outline tatooted on her. No, I wouldn't want to buy a dress from her. I almost wish I had started a thread for SYTTD, but I don't think there's enough of us to warrant one.

Did you see the new show on last Friday? I think the episode was called Daddy's Girl. The one spoiled brat who kept the staff there after closing saying "They could have stayed open longer for me - I don't like feeling pressured and they were pressuring me" and after a four hour appointment. She is every retail clerk's nightmare. Her Daddy flew them in by private jet. He seemed like a nice guy but that daughter was the epitome of a bitch. I wonder if she even realized how she was portrayed on the show. The guy she was marrying was probably nodding as he was watching. They'd only known each other for a few months and either he's as bad as she is or he's looking to be rich in the settlement in a few years.
She was a disaster.

Ya okay, so went looking for a thread for TLC's unusual shows.

Just watched 'Super Face Surgeries' and it was amusing and interesting. But what really struck me as a Canadian is the financial problems that someone with a life threatening disease has to suffer. The one guy had his senior parents paying for his face surgery, and the other guy had to have his girlfriend raise funds for a 'co-pay' on the insurance. What the hell is a co-pay??? Thanking my lucky stars that as a Canadian I don't ever have to worry about that crap. I don't get why Americans don't think that medical insurance for everyone isn't anything but a great thing and fair.

Watching Emergency Level 1, and this is a pretty good representation of what's going on. The 81 year old with the head injury--- put a fork in him, he's done. Surprised they didn't just pull the plug in the ER (we probably would have at my hospital).

And wait for it.. the next show is MY GIANT HEAD!!

i'm becoming obsessed with this show almost more than hoarders (gasp)

and the actress bride who couldnt make a decison without her fiance (how pathetic is that anyway) someone needs to tell her he is gaegaegae. and also a fun ruiner who couldnt even see or begin to care about how much she loved the dress he figuratively ripped to shreds
