Considering 2 consecutive doozies; the future looks bleak.
Hopefully the American Idol: Band Version holds more promise, and doesn't cough up clones of Hanson and other phoney bands that pretend to play music by placing their fingers near an instrument. eta: Quote:Season 5 was good? |

And about Simon: If I was earning $36million for sitting on my ass and telling a group of numbfucks that they cannot sing for 6 months out of a year, I'd have a pretty tough time too walking away because I'm "bored."  That British Buffoon knows exactly what he needs to say and do to keep the money rolling in, and if it means blowing smoke out of his anus, that's just what he'll do for as long as 25-35 million people are watching this dead horse of a show. |

I've only liked odd numbered seasons. I never really liked any of the contestants in the even numbered seasons.
1: Kelly, Tamyra & Christina 3: Diana 5: Kat & Elliott --- 2: I kinda liked Trenyce 4: I kinda liked Anthony 6: I kinda like(d) Chris, Blake and Jordin So, there's potential for me to like a contestant next season! |

Season 5 was one of the best, ratings-wise and contestant-wise. This season makes me appreciate last season even more. The contestants were far more charismatic than this season. I'd be curious to see the posting numbers here at Sucks from last season and this season. I bet they are down.
Whether you loved or hated Taylor, Chris, Kat, Elliott, Bucky, etc., at least they were interesting. Last week was the first week in years I didn't watch the show live. I just watched something else, taped the show, and then quickly watched the performances the next day. I really hope next season is better. |

There is no more undiscovered singing talent left. Now they are down to hacks like Gina and Chris Sligh getting on after 3-4 years of trying.
Wait about 10 years, then start again. Or every 3 years. The bone has been picked dry. |

^You may be right. Half the people this season were rejects from the past. Maybe they should take a year or two off. Or if the people have no talent, they should get people with some spark/personality etc.
Season 6 >>> Season 5 Ha, ha. Yeah who could think a season with Gina/Haley/others I've already forgotten is better than a season with Daughtry/Elliott/all of top 10 last year. |

Having been around on the boards since season three(here, TWoP etc) there has been a big difference. I found Sucks during season 3, and the very first thing I saw here was a chop of Matt Rogers, JPL and John Stevens shirtless and looking like something out of a 1970's porn flick. Matt had this rug on his chest and a gold chain I think. I nearly choked on my drink. It was like that back then, a lot of creativity, funny chops, but this season is so uninspiring I can see why it's died down. |
