This season its either under a bridge or in a tree, if they hit it where you had to dig no one would ever find it without some clues.
Russell did great finding them, but if he was on earlier seasons he is out of the game by now, very simly

watching older seasons, the old II were really really hidden.... |

Of course no one ever found them without a clue, they were actually underground with 6 feet of digging required when you knew which stop it was in.

There were some easy ones before, but this season takes the cake. And now will it probably be standard to make idols dead easy to find because it ups the
drama.

The ones hidden on exile island tended to be hidden well, but all the ones in camp were pretty easy spots located near landmarks (Square plate on tribal
structure, at tree mail, tree in camp, ect...)

It'll always be easy when there is production interference in your favor.

Even the ones hidden at camps needed digging usually.
To have it under a bridge is really asking for it to be found. Maybe the producers wanted it to be found like this, it surely makes the game more interesting |

Micronesia seemed to be the first season they were super easy to find.
I really don't understand all of this bitching though. It's a level playing field. If it's easy for Russel to find, it should be easy for anyone else to find too. If any of you were on Survivor, I'm sure you'd start looking without any clues, and could probably find it. That's the advantage of actually watching the show, and coming in with a plan. I still think it's lame that Russel always gets to have an idol, but I blame the producers for casting a bunch of dumbasses. I remember when Todd said in a confessional "Sometimes it seems like I'm the only person actually playing the game." And he was basically right. The trend of Survivor seems to be that they cast a bunch of idiots so we can all laugh when the pwnt by the 2 or 3 smart people that were hand picked to win. |

People only bitch and claim rigging when their favorite player isn't winning.
Galu is full of dumbasses. Accept it, people. |

I'm pretty sure they'll burry them again in future seasons. Right now their prize piggy is finding all of them so they don't mind, but they
won't risk some casting dud like Brett in future seasons finding them all like Russell did.

I think they should just GET RID OF THE STUPID FUCKING THING FOREVER.

Parvati actually did find one without the clues tho. The REAL first time that happened, they didn't even air it. Probst said they basically want the idols to be found and played at every possible opportunity. I wouldn't be surprised if this season becomes the norm. |

He was toast at F11 and now because of an early merge and an idol he's probably gonna win. Whereas a real player not only doesn't need it, but realizes it'll only derail her game and start trouble. |

It's the "twist" of this season. I reckon when Russell found the first one, the producers saw potential entertainment and went with it, using
easy clues and easy hiding spots. And IMHO, that's fine for one season... but if this becomes the Normal gameplay then bleh. But as this seasons novelty,
it beats the Rich Man-Poor Man shit.
It's not Russell's fault that this crowd of survivors are completely lame. I wonder if the big rain they had at the start of the season just knocked the fight out of them. |

How he had to dig way in the ground, under sleeping survivors, etc. and now its so easy, in a tree, under a rock, under a bridge.. It does make for exciting TV I guess. They're all about the ratings! |

Russell isn't finding the HIIs because he is a "prize piggy"; he is the "prize piggy" because he found all the HIIs!!! I know. Hence why I said "right now". In others words, right now is conveniant for them to barely hide the idols because they know Russell will be the first one to find them. I'm not one of those tards who thinks the show is rigged for him, but if he's benefitting from something, production sure as hell won't put a stop to it. |

If someone else found it... if DAVE actually had a brain and found it first.... the Producers would LOVE that. It would make a great twist on the twist.
And then he'd get voted out with it in his pocket... |
