No thread for him?! He was my favorite and I wasn't even in the room for his sob story! Yay! Finally someone good.

Haven't seen his audition yet but in the preview he looks like a chubby Robert Downey Jr.

damn he can sing! I was impressed and that's difficult for me with the guy singers, esp for non rock types.
His story was sad and I almost felt bad for him until I remembered it pisses me off to see people whoring their tragic tales on television for sympathy. that said, I hope he does well simply based on his voice... his dead wife? meh... |

I really liked him, even without/despite the sob story. And he DOES look like a fat Robert Downey Jr.

I really liked his vocals.
Plus there is something different about him. I just wish he didn't have such a "heartstrings pulling" backstory |

He's OK; I'd put him under the "I need to hear more from him" category. I just hope they don't shove the dead wife backstory on us like
they did with the apostrophe's father. If so, forget about it.

I was ready to HATE him for the pimping of his sob story, but I actually really liked his voice.

That was sad, she was so young. He has a very original sound to his voice. Since in past years we've never seen these people again after the auditions,
might we actually see or hear him again, or is that too much to hope for?

They seriously overhyped the whole tragic story, but he said nothing about it to the judges. Any hate I would have for this guy would really have to be

I loved him and his story brought t.ears to my eyes. Plus, they were playing Adele's Hometown Glory and it just made it even sadder. I love that song.

I just saw this audition, and I actually like this guy =)
I just wanna hear how he sounds with accompaniment and on another song, but the story was sweet and the audition seemed pretty good. |

He was pretty good, but he reminds me of WAY too many "Jesus Freaks" I have known in my day. I can see him coming out all overly-Christian soon. It
also drove me crazy how he said he wanted to be on this show to continue his wife's memory/show the world his wife by singing. WHAT?!?!?!? I mean,
don't get me wrong, that is SUPER sad, but you singing on American Idol does not show me who your wife was...it just makes you "famous".
