Um, isn't that the point of the show? People vote for who they like and don't like? So if there's a forum for that, why can't people do that?

I think you all (admins. and mods.) are rampant with paranoia that's festered since AI2. Everyone in AI3 sucked but the regulars here tried to recapture the fun of AI2 and it failed miserably. Without even considering that the AI2 was one of those "rare occasions" where people were polarized (and it wasn't even that so many people liked Ruben - it was the Claymates vs. those who hated them), by being such hardasses, you're ASKING for people to rebel and act like douchebags. While that's exactly what happened, the material here sucked big time.

All I'm saying is that there is no need for the "hand of God" to come down on everything. I mean, isn't one of the mottos of this board to "Outflame"? Let people be. It will be more enjoyable for all. Toward the end of AI2, people more or less followed Urethra Franklin's "Guide to Posting" and until there were internal board wars, people understood that and abided by it. When you allow the posters to sort of police themselves, it keeps the fringe morons out. When you over administrate the forum, well, what you had during AI3 is the result.
