Not to be a party pooper, but if/when the Magicians figure out where our posts went, the "new" threads will be subject to lock as duplicates.
This process has restored a couple of threads, and possibly deep-sixed a couple. Try at your own risk if you dare: Go back to the original threads. POST IN THEM. Then, go back to the front of the AI Forum. Refresh the page a few times. Your post should have caused some, or maybe all, of the missing posts to return and be visible again.

Not to be a partypooper, but those threads are the old ones; check the date of the first post. Posting in the old
threads is what makes the old "hidden" posts seemingly disappear.

FWIW, I think you're both wrong. Replies since some date in August are not viewable. They are not restored or deleted by posting or refreshing anywhere.
What does happen when someone posts in a thread is the Replies count gets reset to indicate the new number of Replies (counting up to August, plus today on),
but it's not whacking posts in the process. You can't see them any how you try.
But Claude does have a magic January '09 reply in the Fatiana Love thread that's viewable. His Replies Table must live on a server in the Phillipines. :)

Thanks Scree, as the day wore on I kinda-sorta figured out that there was a pre-8/18/2008 post loss.
But some random posts made it through, such as a 12/18/2008 post in the Amberly thread and a 3/29/09 post about Kelly Clarkson (both in the AI subforum). At this point the c/w is that it'll cost us all about a day's worth of posts to bring the data back to more-or-less current, which isn't a bad deal, all things considered.
