I just got back from San Antonio and I am reminded that anyplace north of there doesn't know what they're talking about regarding good mexican food.
And the best place in San Antonio is Mi Tierra. So any of you nutjobs who are lucky enough to be in Tejas really must try it. AND they have a gigantic bakery
on premises. To die for.
It's festive, too.

i was supposed to go to the tamale festival in indio this weekend but i'm fostering three dogs (OMC THEY'RE SO ADORABLE!!) and they will not allow me
to go. i would take them but they are not (two) people friendly. one is a total whore! awwww.

I would love to go to the tamale festival but i aint driving to Indio. The Declined household will be firing up our own tamale factory in the next few weeks.

Next time, to shake things up - try Alamo Cafe. The decor isn't nearly as...um, festive..but the food is great.
