Here's a couple more Idol superstitions that still hold true

If Paula picks your judges choice song, you won't win (Jasmine, Bo, Elliott, Blake, David Archuleta, Danny)
If there is a season with the groups/wildcard format, the top 2 will come from the same semi final group

Justin/Kelly were both in group 3
Clay/Ruben were both in group 2
Fantasia/Diana were both in group 1
Adam/Kris were both in group 2

And the curse of a singer getting voted off in a week which features their preferred style of music still holds true. Matt's got a jazz background, and he got voted off in Standards week. Allison and Adam, the two rock singers, were the bottom 2 on rock week

I love how, although Carrie was one of the ones at the beginning of the alphabet on season 4, she played her cards right and got Anthony and Bo to the final 4 with her, where she was alphabetically guaranteed to be either. Vonzell was the obvious 3rd place boot too, so Carrie masterminded everything! <3

the "if you have red/pink hair you will be in the bottom 3 the first week" one still holds true! Nikki, Vanessa, Amy Adams, Allison Iraheta, Lacey Brown

If you are in the bottom 3 the first week, theres a good chance you will come in 7th place (Boomie, Ace, Sanjaya, Kristy Lee, Tim Urban)

If you sing "Any Man of Mine" you will be voted off (Mandisa & Siobhan)

No way to be sure this year if that exact superstition holds now that Paula is gone. However, Ellen picked Crystal's song. So will that one die with Paula's departure or will whoever is in that spot among the judges (IMO, Ellen took Paula's spot) forever curse contestants?

Lee is going first, which doesn't bode well for him. The two times the winner went first, it was a M/M showdown. 25% chance he wins, 75% chance Crystal does based on order.

The next winner will be either Kristy (unlikely as it is a girl's name), Ty, or perhaps have the last name of Lee (which is not necessarily Asian, which would be unlikely).

Held true for AI9, Lee over Crystal. So a theory for prognosticating the AI10 winner would be: Find the possible winner whose name appears last in the alphabet.
