Attention TAR Producers: I think the last two episodes of each Race would be more exciting if second, third, and fourth place teams were competing for sizable,
stated sums, say $250,000, $100,000, and $50,000. Or maybe $200,000, $50,000, and $25,000. What do you think?

Never going to happen.

It pleases me immensely that the Globetwatters got nothing. Ditto for 'da bros and team zebra.

I think its more exciting for only the 1 Million, because your gonna want to get to the end more. If there is consolation prize, teams could potentially be
whateva, Quarter Mill is good for me

I'd like to see it along the size of Survivor's, $100,000 for second and say $50,000 for third. The teams who manage to run the entire race should get
some payout, the producers and CBS certainly do.

Why would that make it more exciting? If they know that now matter what they're gonna win some huge amount of money, losing won't be that terrible.
It's far more exciting if there's only one prize for first place, that way everyone is really trying to get first.

Though the smaller prizes can be billed in foreign versions of TAR.

I think all teams get paid. Bilal and Saeed got around 10 dollars for running half a leg.

Take it a step further. Losers have to pay for their air fare.

Hell, I'd do TAR even if there was no prize money and wasn't on TV. Traveling the world for free with someone you care about>1 Million Dollars.
Although.1 Million Dollars is still pretty kick ass though.

By that logic the cameramen and producers who go from place to place to set things up shouldn't be paid either, after all, they're seeing the world for free. Even Big Brother pays the second place finisher a reasonable prize and all the other "houseguests" are paid SAG scale for the amount of time they spend in the house. |

2nd place get $25,000 and 3rd $10,000, don't they?

Thought second got 50 and everyone gets a per diem but not at the same rate of pay.

And I think it's great that 2nd and 3rd places get nothing -- it makes everyone want 1st place more. Of course, I might feel differently if I ran the race and came in second ... |

The entire prize for winning the race should be an Easyshare camera, so things would be as good as TAR1-3.

I'm sure they do get some money, though less than the winners....
