Survivor Firsts on Fiji |

While it was not the first to have 20 contestants (Palau was), it was the first to have all 20 participate in the immunity challenge.
What else was a first this season? |

First time contestants were so selfish that they did not share food.

First time we had some whiny bitch cry about tribe members not sharing food they worked to get with those that didn't do shit to get the food.
Was this the first time we had tears for hypocrisy too? I think so... |

Not true, those two bitches from last season bitched out BobDawg for drinking the wine when they didn't even compete in the challenge that won it.

Quote: The "race to the flag" game that Ian and Jolanda won was for immunity. Maybe the first season where 20 people attended TC at one point or another? Something to that effect. ETA: And this may not be a "first," but two new records were set: Most votes acquired over the course of a single season (Jonathan, 15) and greatest number of occasions during a single season where one person received votes (Jonathan, 7 times--but only 6 TCs tying him with Royry). |

First time there is no 'Pecking Order' reward challenge. The season is not over yet; it could happen.

Re: Survivor Firsts on the Cook Islands
Quote: But McWolcott, that was a reward, not day to day food members of the tribe caught/gathered themselves while others didn't do shit. If I remember correctly, they had to sit out of the challenge because of numbers. But I could be wrong. |

Quote: Actually, it was an Immunity, not Reward, challenge up until All-Stars. And did S1 have one? I can't recall. I'm sure there are any number of Firsts on every season if you get obscure enough.... *First time the jury had more than 7 people, and the first time Jeff didn't announce that from there on, it was all jurors (i.e. "surprise" jury member). *First Hispanic male(s) (Kel was more "Native American", I think) *First F5 for the final episode (hope that's not a spoiler--it seems to be pretty common knowlege by now) *First time "lovers" were separated by a tribe switch (and reunited) [NEVER MIND, I FORGOT ROMBER, SEE BELOW] *First time someone voluntarily mutineed *First time someone has shown the Immunity Idol to everyone (even "enemies") before using it. *First time a team was given flint at TC (in the early seasons, they could take their flame home but did not get flint) *First time the recruits outnumbered the "genuine" applicants (and THE LAST, I HOPE!) *First time the show has used "nicknames" for the official tribe names in the captions/challenges *First time the "schoolyard pick" has involved picking exclusively people of the same sex. *First time a tribe visited another tribe's grounds on camera that was not dictated by the game rules. *I almost said "first time it has shown the medical crew on camera that did not involve someone being taken out of the game", but I forgot about Aras's cut in the final Ep of S12. There will almost certainly be some more "firsts" coming...we should probably wait until the show is over for a more complete list. |

Re: Survivor Firsts on the Cook Islands
Quote: Jan picked the entire Chuay Gahn tribe--females included--in S5, and Scout picked all the members of the New Yasur tribe in Vanuatu (Episode 5). Some firsts for this season (some of these, I admit, are pretty obscure): * First time that a tribe name on the show and a tribe name on the website were inconsistent (the Puka tribe's flag said Pukapuka, while the website originally said Puka Puka before going to the nickname). * First season with two gay male castaways (JP & Brad--though this could be wrong if the rumors about Greg Buis are true). * First season whose merge color was the same as the previous season's merge color. * First season with two people from one tribe being voted out at the same Tribal Council. * First time any castaway has left and then re-joined a tribe (Candice and Jonathan--originally on Raro, then on Aitu, then back on Raro). |

Quote: Still pretty much the same thing IMO. Those girls told BobDawg that they ALL worked hard to win that reward, when in fact, the sat out, numbers or no. |

Re: Survivor Firsts on the Cook Islands
Quote: I don't think you can count this, since JP is not officially "Out"--and in fact, castaways (Cristina) who have been asked about it specifically DENY it--though if he comes out at the Finale, you can :) Anyway, if closet cases count, you might be able to count Jeff and Mitchell in Australia :) I realized the S5 error about picking the same sex, and edited it, before I saw your correction (and S6's pick was the same way, of course). |

» First time there was more than one Asian.
» First time there were more than two blacks. » First time two men were eliminated first. (Sekou, Billy) » First time a black male was voted off first. » First time there were four tribes that lasted more than one episode. » First time tribe names had quotation marks around them. » This is the second season to have two episodes with more than one person leaving (Palau being the first), but the first to do so via Tribal Council. » Second time a voluntary tribe swap was offered, but the first time people actually switched. » Second time the jury has begun before the merge. |
